Most Annoying/Embarrassing Death

To make Battlefront more challenging, I imposed a new rule upon myself. When I get iced, I have to spawn back in on the side that's currently losing. Pretty fun! One morning about a year ago, I was playing the Mos Eisley scenario. I started as a Rebel, came back as an Imperial, and then came back again as a Rebel. By the time I re-spawned as a Rebel, the Rebel forces were down to 5 guys and one command post, against the Imperial's 38 guys. We Rebels got whittled down to two guys to the Imperials 24. The other Rebel and I were making a stand in the Hangar Bay. We were dancing around the ramp going down from the Sail Barge, keeping the ramp between us and the Imperials as much as possible and taking opportunity shots as they arose. A couple of grenades I chucked and a few blaster-bursts into a crowd of Imperials whittled the Imperials down to 18. I saw another crowd of Imperials and threw my last grenade. My 'buddy' picked that moment to run in front of me. (I hate when they do that!!) My grenade didn't bounce off the guy, or detonate upon impact. The thing stuck to the guy's helmet!! (Sometimes they do stick to whatever they hit instead of bounce off.) I backpedaled as fast as I could...and my buddy ran after me!!!! I tried to duck around the ramp to get some hard cover between me and him. No dice. BOOM!! Game over, man!!

Thats embarrassing...I've beaten every bad guy bar one in Wanted then heard teh ominous click of my gun going empty and stood there while he shot me....that was bad!

here's one for you, On the Z Blood [a mod for Zdoom, based on the legendary original FPS "Blood"] level "Wrong side of the tracks", i made the mistake of NOT immediately hitting the exit level switch and jumping off of the non-moving train. Then i began running down the dark tunnel. Despite the system warnings [yes, it does warn you in BIG yellow letters multiple times] i kept going.

Just like in Blood, a Train came out and ran me over. BIG mistake!

I was just frantically looting and trying to keep up with my friend, not paying attention to where I was going, and...yeah. Let's just say that the other two had a good laugh at my expense while I did the corpse run!

When I was relatively new to WoW, a real life friend was running my fiance and I through Gnomer. We were in that big circular room with a really steep drop in the middle. I was just frantically looting and trying to keep up with my friend, not paying attention to where I was going, and...yeah. Let's just say that the other two had a good laugh at my expense while I did the corpse run!

Oh my gosh not Gnomer.... Noooo! lol This is an old thread I know. Such a good idea for one though.

I would have to say for me was when I was doing PvP on my priest on WoW. These hordies kept ganking me and I still kept going at it hardly staying alive. My main was and still is a mage and I was trying so hard too! I think they were laughing at me... doing their "kek" (aka lol). It was just really pathetic how I kept running over to the Westfall gryphon area and trying and trying.

HMMMMM, in SF4, I cannot count the number of times I have dashed into C. Viper's Ultra 1 to counter-ultra/throw/something.

Her first hit is a ground pound, then it waits like a second before she does repeated burning kicks in the air. Some character's ultras don't do the full animation if their first hit doesn't connect, and I always seem to think she's one of them.

Most annoying? Anything in Battletoads, or getting sniped in any FPS.

I was playing Halo 3 with my friend, we were on opposite sides in Deathmatch, and I chucked the spiked grenade... which proceeded to bounce off the wall and stick in my own head... Until it a'sploded (to quote Strongbad).

I was playing Medievia (ASCII MUDD type game).

I decided I was done for the day and built a campfire in the wilderness to rest and log off from the game.

Somehow I managed to catch myself on fire and suffered a truly horrible, seering death.

thats weird, how do you manage to burn yourself in a MUDD game? sorry if i am wrong but i always felt it mean text based games

Some text based allow for things like that, it just says "you have caught fire and died" or something. I actually have the first 3 Zork games on PC, but haven't played them yet. Have to bust them out sometime.

Yeah, it's a text based game.

A great time waster when playing on my phone.

I'm not sure how my character caught on fire.

I just remember screaming when it happened.

Annoying: During the Half-Life 2 chapter where you are on the coast in the coast in the car on the bridge with a train on one side and amother train coming at you. You're supposed to use turbo to get to the end of the stationary train next to you and then stop once you pass it. Problem is though, the oncoming train would always hit me and send me off the edge, or I'd overshoot where I was supposed to stop and go flying off on my own. About an hour later, and I was able to move on from that part of the game that normally take thirty seconds.

Embarrassing: During the course of Fallout 3, I have done some pretty stupid things. Probably the most embarrassing was going back into a submarine in the Point Lookout DLC after setting it to self-destruct because I thought I may have forgotten to activate something, only for the sub to explode a few seconds after entering it. Worse part was, it overwrote the last auto-save, and my kast save was two experience levels prior. Same thing happened to me when looking for the Vault 87 enterance for my PipBoy.

Honorable Mention: The Tanks in L4D and L4D2 hitting you off of buildings or into water or into anything that instantly kills you (i.e. No Mercy finale).
