the verses of the Quran were revealed immediately to the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him to deal with live situations that were happening right then and there
"Allah" did not reveal anything, it was merely authered by Omar and "Muhammad" approved of what he said saying "So it was revealed" in these instances
I was wondering if Gabriel or Gebril was "Inspiring Omar" as well !!!

and it wasn't just Omar, do you know that some of the scribes of the Quran put their own "versions" of many verses and Muhammad approved of it, which led to some of them say, " He is no prophet at all"...and when they left Muhammad, he feard they would expose him and orderd them killed !!!

Allah is God, another name for it. It seems some people here are proving them selves not worthy of the "christian" name. Islam is a great, loving religion. I am despised in some mean spirited posts, even though I don't belive in Mohamed (PBUH) I still respect him.

The angel Gabriel? I don't think so! If anything "gave" him the Koran, it was a demon straight from the depths of Hell!

Muslims might believe they are worshipping the same God as Jews and Christians but I honestly don't think they are. And if they are, they are not worshipping Him in a way that He wants to be worshipped.

Instead of throwing accusations at each other maybe it will be more worhtwhile if we can start some fruitful conversation around the subject of this thread may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him...:prayer:

As a start...I see that some of the Christians here are doubting that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him received a message from God through Angel Gabirel and I would like to share with you a verse that I read from the Bible and that I believe is describing the Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him with astounding accuracy....Ill post it here for you to check out...

The verse is in Isaiah 29:12
(read verses 11 through 18 for full context)

And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

Compare this with the first revelation received by the Prophet of Islam peace and blessings of Allah be upon him:

"The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read."
{Hadeeth Sahih Bukhari 1:1:003}

Urs,

Purely..

hey purelyislam!
what an intersting quote indeed!
i would never have expected that in the bible!

but there seems to me something wrong in what you say.
i mean, firstly, the Jewish prophets all prophesised that the end of the law, that is the sacrifice and the offerring, would end with the arrival of the messiah. now, what i think this meant, is that, (an dthe early, true, christians, beleived this), is that the animal sacrifices at the temple would no longer be required, that um, specific foods, such as pork, would no longer, be prohibited.
so, my question, is, why would God, Allah, say something, and then change his mind? I mean muslim scholars say that no human can change the written word of God. What do you think?

another thing. i'll try and be quick!
jesus, isa, said that his followers would no longer worship God by facing Jerusalem, or any other physical place, but instead fro m his coming onwards, would worship him with spirit, in no particular direction. once again, what do you think?

why would God say one thing, and then change his mind?
the Quran says that no one can chang ethe word of God
help me out! please

what verses.

What did he copy? could you tell us.
These verses were "inspired" by Omar who was bragging to say "Allah approved (agreed with) me three times"

2:125 Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).

33:53 O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity.

23:14 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators!

------
aside from the scientific mistakes in the last verse, who are the other creators !!!! who else creats besides "Allah" !!!

it is also worthy to note that we find another verse inspired by Omar, let's hear what Omar himself said:

Often, when I talked, all praise is due to Allah, I hoped that Allah would testify to the words that I uttered. And so the Ayat of option was revealed. Allah said,

[عَسَى رَبُّهُ إِن طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَن يُبْدِلَهُ أَزْوَجاً خَيْراً مِّنكُنَّ]

(Maybe his Lord, if he divorces you, will give him in your place wives better than you,) and,

wow: Omar utters words, so they are "revealed" !!!
I wonder if Omar wrote the guarded tablet as well
85: 21. Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an.
85: 22. In a well-guarded tablet."

Did the "well-guarded tablet" lack Omar's words and waited for him to utter them !!!

There is no real proof they were "inspired" by Omar.

Noble Verse 51:47 "And the firmament, We constructed with power and skill and verily We are expanding it."

Maybe omar might have told this too, the expanding of the universe (sky).

John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever"

John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"

John 14:26 "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

Who is Jesus talking about here?

Very Important Point: A "Spirit" in the New Testament is a human Prophet. Therefore, Jesus had predicted the comming of a human Prophet (spirit) after him and not the Holy Spirit. Jesus would not have used the word "he" for the Holy Spirit. He would have used "it" instead in John 14:26 above. Read 1 John 4:1-3 below:

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world," (1 John 4:1-3)

says you????
do we believe you or Omar?
I'll give you two options:
1- admit that you made a mistake by saying "There is no proof they were inspired by Omar"
2- Stick to your position and ask for the Islamic references

plus:
what does the Bible have to do with Omar? can't you stick to the point we are discussing without having to flee to the Bible?
consider me an athiest and debate with me on such basis.

another one with a big mouth

well, here is my post once again, what does the verses of the Bible that you pasted have to do with it?

These verses were "inspired" by Omar who was bragging to say "Allah approved (agreed with) me three times"

so Omar says "Allah" revealed the words he uttered, yet you are denying it !!! whom do we believe? you or Omar?

Where is the proof omar said that, also prohet used to recite the Verses to his followers and then ask themto read it back to him.

Whats wrong with that, Question i am asking is that The Universes expanding and all the nuclear physic in Quran, where did that came from?

oh Really !!! Jesus described whoever comes after him as a LIAR

and why not start a subject about your claims, and we will see if your claims can stand
the comforter is the Holy Spirit, and Muhammad is in no way a " comforter" as the description does not fit him at all

Where is the proof omar said that
Bukhari, Ibn Kathir, Siuty..etc
Read tafsir Ibn Kathir of Surah At Tahrim (Chapter 66)
