What's sad is when people make the bible out to be something it's not. And to say that slavery did not exist is laughable. You guys probably think the holocaust relly didn't happen as recorded in history either?! You guys make stupid comments like this, and then wonder why we don't take you guys seriously.

I cleary understand. And there is ample evidence to prove that slavery indeed existed, even prior to biblical times, and that it was much more barbaric than U.S. slavery.

What you may not realize, or care to realize, is that people other than yourself and those with whom you argue are not the only ones watching. Innocent onlookers - Christian and atheist alike - are watching the way you all handle each response presented.

For example, a reply like you gave (with no substanciation save a one-sentence attempt to discredit) is taken into deep consoderation by guests and members. Moreover, they will see how voluminous the thread is, the substance of it (arguments) and judge it accordingly.
