I lived in Menominee, MI, with my parents for about 10 years. So I'm part Yooper!! I'm originally from Wisconsin and moved out west for the last 8 years.

I'm a guy not a gal, and I have never even been to Michigan. I think my car is from there, though.

I've had occasion to visit. I have a brother who lives in Novi, and I make deliveries in Michigan sometimes. Battle Creek, mostly, but sometimes I'll go to Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo or make deliveries not too far from my brother's place. If the timing is right I'll drop in on him, otherwise I just head back home. I haven't been to the UP yet, one of these days I'll have to go up there.

I park my car within the state boundaries of Michigan each night. I'm not from here but I kind of like living here. The UP is beautiful. There is nothing quite like knowing that you can put your toes in 4 of the Great Lakes without leaving the state.

Do you michigander's know where Mio Michigan is? That is where my great grandfather and mother lived. His address was Route 1....That's it! Anyway, I have never been to Michigan but I would love to visit Mackinac Island. I used to know a guy that was a waiter in the summer there.
