  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I bet if they had won you would be a Michigan fan.
Sure, I rooted them on and was disappointed they lost, especially considering they deserved to be in the championship game. But no, I'm not really a Michigan fan.

They in no way deserved to be in any championship game. Every good team they played beat them. They lost to Ohio State and they got SMASHED by USC. Therefore, they had no business being in the championship game.

Heck, they almost lost to Ball State. Now I know you do not think Ball State is any good in football.

Who did they beat this year? They beat Notre Dame...a very overrated Notre Dame team this year. That is nothing special. Michigan State almost beat Notre Dame.

Dude, the had the best record and then Florida came out of no where...sure they had easier teams, but how does that make them all of a sudden not in the championship game? They were ranked number 2...then all of a sudden got dropped to number three after one loss to ohio state. That's bologna.

They did not have the best record. Florida and Michigan had the same record.

Michigan had their chance at beating Ohio State and they got beat. You don't get a 2nd chance in college football. Now it is Florida's turn.

Florida did not come out of no where. They only lost one game the whole year and that was very close game that they could have easily won. They have been a good team all year long. They have beaten some quality teams, unlike Michigan who beat no quality teams other than an overrated ND.

Thus, they got it right. Ohio State vs. Florida for the National Tite.

Ain't it great when Michigan loses :)

I am a fan of all sports really. I enjoy college sports way more than pro though. Pro sports are filled with overrated and overhyped money grabbers instead of true lovers of the game.

I cheer for Oklahoma in college sports. I do not really have a favorite pro team. I used to like watching the Broncos play when they had John Elway though.

Pro's are people who used to be in college...they just make money there too. Sure some of them grab this ego of how amazing they are, but a lot of athletes do that, not just pros.

Wow! I had no idea there were so many Michiganders on here! Well, I am from Concord, little village surrounded by corn. Originally my mom was from Battle Creek, my dad, Detroit, downtown in the city. Then my parents both ended up in Pontiac, and moved to Concord. So I got as far away as possible, all of you who grew up in the sticks know what I'm talkin about. Lived in Nashua NH then came "home" but not too close, Jackson, I'm in Jackson now. OK, probably a little TMI, but just saying Jackson was boring, I mean it's Jackson.

I shared on this thread awhile ago... I live in the Irish Hills....
and years ago I use to work at a place called the Brown Hut in Jackson. (It was a Macedonian Restaurant.)
They tore the Brown Hut down...A McDonalds is now there..

And I hear we are suppose to get some snow tomorrow...

Just wanted to share, in the Irish Hills area... we are getting our snow... and probably will not have school tomorrow.... (not official)...
We did not have school today, (not wanting to have to let school out early due to the weather I think)

God bless

Hey All! I am in Commerce Township, MI. And if you don't know, that is between Pontiac, Ann Arbor, and Detroit. And I am tired of the snow! Go away! :)

I don't know where it is, but my husband does....He said we are about an hour and a half away from where you live.

And I hope the snow will go away in a couple of weeks.... we are going
skiing next week.... just for a night and day....
God bless you ladybugfor Jesus
