This is the weekend we are taking two of our daughters skiing.
We should share some good fun and time together, though my husband and I have not gone skiing in 14 or 15 years....
We will be going to Shanty Creek Ski Resort in Bellaire Michigan....

I heard, where I live will be in the 50's next week.

Really? Wow! I work midnights so I was asleep all day on friday, so I never felt got to feel it.

It is beautiful here... the only reason I am not skiiing is because of an old injury, but what I did ski was fun... and its warm and snow is melting....Our daughters are having a great time....Its feels about 50 today too!!!!

That is a beautiful area .......
We have a dusting of snow on the ground this morning....
We even built a fire in the fireplace last night due to it being cold enough again....for a this week or was it last week it was in the 60's - 70's....

My husband put all the kids winter boots in a bag and said"spring is here to stay" well lets say the next day I had to pull out the boots it was snowing again.......just a thin layer but the wind was blowing! and by the time I walked into the house after waiting with my lil ones at the bus stop.......I had snow covering me from head to foot like a snowman

I really do love living in Michigan.........I was one of those "I just can't wait to get out of Michigan"teens and I did move away for a long time. While I was away I yearned for the beautiful farming countryside where so many fruits can be grown. I love trees

I'm just so glad to be home. And if I was to move again..........it would only be to the mountains somewhere where a beautiful waterfall exists and lots of trees.................like North Carolina or virginia....

Michigan really is a good place to live...........I'm just hoping the jobs get better.

What part of Michigan are you located if you don't mind me asking....
And I agree with Michigan being a really good place to live... and I too am hoping the jobs get better. My husband is self employed. Business is definately picking up (Drywall business). He works very hard.... but are over head hurt us when things were slow. We also will have two in college and now and then help out our other children....life.... which I am happy to be a part of.....

I had to chuckle.... last years shorts I have thought about too...
I walk every day.... but my winter pants have been a little tight....I am thinking.... I wonder about my shorts....?????

I am a little ways from you..... I am below - about 30 min. from the border of Ohio....

But if you ever get out to the Irish Hills - our little church is a nice church to visit.... North Rome Baptist, though we are now on our own. Close to MIS (Michigan International Speedway.)

I hope you find a good church in Ferndale.....

We have many people from the down river area spend time with us....
