No he didn't call for folks to wake up, become "WOKE"? I thought that bunch preached against "WOKE".

Waking up, and being "woke" have proven to be opposite things.

Just to clarify, do you support Flynn's statement? Yes or No will suffice.

I don't believe he was speaking about it in a legal fashion. Notice that he didn't say anything about creating laws that ban any particular religion, or merging church and state. But yes, if this nation is to return to God, then worshipping dozens of different gods is hardly being united. So theologically, I agree with him.

You seems to be suggesting what he meant to say...much like a spokesman would say trying to spin a different meaning. His words were clear enough. Do you agree with him?

His words were obviously not clear enough, or we wouldn't be having this discussion.

His words were very clear ("we must have..one nation under God"). His supporters refuse to acknowledge them and choose to try to obfuscate them and play innocent.

Speaking of a one world religion. Someone recently posted this on a different Christian forum site.

Any justification will do eh  ?

The "woke" and those who participate in that type of thinking have a reputation of doing/being the opposite. If they claim to be woke, they're asleep. If they want people to have freedom, they actually want to oppress. What they call good is bad. Protests that are violent are called peaceful.

And Jesus said that the only way to the Father is through Him. Does that mean Jesus was trying to turn Rome into a theocracy, or was trying to ban other religions?

Do you think he might have been calling for a referendum on which religion it should be? Following the necessary changes to the constitution approved by a two thirds majority of the House of Representatives and the Senate of course.
Dunno. I don't like jumping to conclusions like this without additional context - though I can't think of a version of what he might be saying that I would actually like and support.

That has worked smashingly well for Iran and Afghanistan!

Theologically speaking, apart from a tiny proportion of Hindus and Budhists, you all do worship the same God (where do the dozens come from?). Now I'm pretty sure that Flyn is not unaware of this. So he's either asking for something that already exists, or...he's leaving something unsaid.

My money is on Option 2.

The fact that someone like Flyn can say what he has is no surprise to me. Or, let's face it, to anyone else. But what I really can't understand, what I honestly have a problem with is those who are on the right of the political spectrum trying to defend in some way what he said. When the blatantly obvious response from any reasonable person should be 'Wow, what a dumb thing to say - this guy's views do not represent our beliefs'. Unless, of course, he does.

I sincerely hope you're not comparing Flynn to Jesus.
