He did kind of balk after saying, "one religion" because I imagine he knows that kind of rhetoric is about as un-American as it gets. Maybe he stuck his foot in his mouth. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since he ain't that smart to begin with.

Believe it or not, I am not in the habit of adjusting quotes to turn text into propaganda. I directly quoted the article to the point where it was becoming repetitious in the criticism of Flynn's comment. If I'd wanted to make Flynn look worse there was ample comment I could have included.

The 'disgraceful' comment was in the headline and the first sentence.

“Michael Flynn hates the US Constitution,” tweeted Preet Bharara, former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Fred Guttenberg, gun safety activist and the father of Parkland massacre victim Jaime Guttenberg, said that Mr Flynn’s comments proved why people need to be educated about “things like race in America and the Holocaust”.

“I am assuming when Michael Flynn tells his GQP followers we need to be a nation with ‘one religion’ he probably is not thinking Judaism,” he tweeted.

“And so, it begins. Maybe teaching history about things like race in America and the Holocaust do matter.”

California Rep Ted Lieu suggested that Mr Flynn “would fall asleep in Church class” and said he was thankful that the US is not a theocracy – a type of government where one religious body holds unlimited power.

If you look at his terminology, including the singular 'God', the reference to Christianity and a Christian God is unavoidable.

The 8-2 decision restores power to a judge to question the Justice Department's moves in the politically divisive case, when Attorney General William Barr dropped charges against President Donald Trump's former national security adviser earlier this year despite twice pleading guilty to lying under oath to lying to the FBI.
Previously, a group of three judges on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals court sided 2-1 with Flynn in ordering the lower court to toss his case. Monday's 8-2 decision by the full court reached the opposite conclusion.

After that, in November, Trump pardoned Flynn before he could be sentenced for the crimes for which he plead guilty, rendering the penalty moot.
