Former Trump national security adviser, retired general alleges "malicious prosecution," "political motivation" and "abuse of process" by FBI, DOJ, the Obama White House and Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
...
The notification, known as a Form 95 Civil Claim, obtained by Just the News, was filed Feb. 22. It names the DOJ, FBI, U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington D.C., Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office and the Executive Office of the President as potential defendants and alleges former President Barack Obama and the FBI had a vendetta against him that biased their actions.

"Of all of President Trump's appointees, the Obama White House hated Flynn the most," the filing noted as it laid out a long list of irregularities in his case it said proved political interference inside the FBI.
...
Flynn, according to the form, is seeking "compensatory damages including but not limited to lost past and future earnings/revenue, emotional distress, lost opportunity to be President's National Security Advisor, significant restraints of personal liberty, attorney fees/expenses and court costs in defending against malicious prosecution, abuse of process, false arrest."

I wait with baited breath for nothing to happen.
Noting that "nothing" is the reason Flynn is filing suit.

The DOJ admitted, after years of legal shenanigans, that they had "nothing" to prosecute Flynn on ... and dropped the prosecution.

In poker terms they were "called" ... and folded.

Where did you get that idea? Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI but was pardoned, by guess who. No-one even tried to claim that he wasn't guilty, the justification offered was that well if they hadn't asked him he wouldn't have lied about it.

Not exactly.

Flynn agreed to took a minor plea deal for perjury ... in exchange for cooperation ... after he had been bankrupted. Then, the government chose not to honor their own terms for the plea deal ... and Flynn subsequently withdrew his plea.

After Flynn withdrew his plea the government withdrew charges. Incidentally, Trump provided a last-minute pardon, apparently to ensure that the prosecution of Flynn was fully over with.

The historical record.
Some elements of fact blended with a hefty dose of imagination seems more accurate. What's your source for your take on it? Which historical record are you referring to?

What about the guilty pleas?

Attorney General William Barr was clear in an interview with CBS News on Thursday evening: "People sometimes plead to things that turn out not to be crimes, and the Department of Justice is not persuaded that this was material to any legitimate counterintelligence investigation. So it was not a crime."

' that they had "nothing" to prosecute Flynn " Yeah thats fact not fake news yet. As for Government not honoring.. this happens all the time. I know a few cases they were promised .. judge even signed yet.. na we won't honor it.
The saying used to be restricted to there being "no honor among thieves".

Read it over a few times until you see through the doublespeak. Does anyone at any point, either here or anyone else, say on record, in any official capacity, that Flynn didn’t lie?
Flynn did lie, on several occasions, to the FBI, to Mitch McConnell and other GOP grandees, lied when directly asked about his contact with the Russian ambassador. Caught bang to rights, he pled guilty. All this BS about coercion is pathetic. As you can see from your own posted quote, no denial of guilt, just insinuation ‘sometimes…’, then the real kicker - Flynn was only lying about his contacts with the Russian ambassador - and these were somehow ‘not material’ to the investigation into Russian interference in the election (?).

As the judge overseeing the case, denying Barr’s attempt to have the conviction quashed, quite rightly pointed out, it is not the job of your DOJ to do personal favours. As Flynn had already been convicted of lying to the FBI, having lied during an investigation, the judge gave them two options - sentencing or a pardon.

At no point was Flynn’s guilt even in question.

It’s worth noting how similar this case is to the mafia prosecutions the judge in this case had been previously involved with. Same pattern of corruption, personal favours, lying and attempts to undermine the case through technicalities.
