I agree, Michelle. I think we need to look at people for who they are, not what they are (ie, labels...divorced, never married, parent, no children, etc.). It is self limiting. Open the heart to the possibilities. God defines His relationship with us by who He is and who we are...not what we have done or are doing.
People who are in their retirement years have a tendency to leave places like Massachusetts and Northern Illinois to get away from our cold, snowy winters, so there's not so many older folk up thisaway to begin with.
Yes a nice warm fire but cant stay by the fire all winterI like my seasons and don't want to give them up. I think I'll be the weirdo who wants to retire in places where there'll be much snow in winter. Also, I love to cuddle by fireplaces in late fall and in winter. It's so romantic and so cozy! LOL![]()

Bridgit,
I'm with you. I still love the winters. Tho not as much as when I was younger. My new snow blower sure helped me enjoy last winter. My GF has a hot tub .. that is really nice and romantic in the winter. To add another good thing about winter.
mind you with the way the weather is these days I wouldnt be surprised if it snows in S.C these daysI'm originally from Southern California. I always say...seasons are overrated!![]()
I miss the snow-free winters with temps in the 60s. Ahhhh...that was the life...
like there is NO snow in Norway ... LOL
that one ''took the cake''snow = frosset vann ... of a sort. Ya, I guess ice would be closer to that, but I like the looks of frosset vann better than sno
Howdy norski! So you kind of like frosset vann = is (ice) or snø (snow)?
I am not fond of it, or of the dark months in the Winter, but what can I do about it except take one day at a time and look forward to a new Spring springing some months after Christmas? lol
We had snow from October till April, so I would think I know what snow is, or at least that I have an idea of what it is, hehe.
