Anyhow, I'm not around to recruit or "proselytize" that's just not in our "rede". I firmly believe that each person's path is their own to choose, and if it gives them peace and happiness, security and love then it is the right path for them.

I'm definitely enjoying

Today I'm cleaning house and putting stuff back in order after working non stop for 7 weeks...it's amazing the dust that can accumulate...not to mention cat fur, dog fur, and just general clutter...
1 day off a week is not enough time to keep up with a pre teen and a senior citizen (who both have the same slobbish tendencies!) yes, I have to nag my mother to "clean her room" just as much as I do my 12 yr old!

My kitchen and dining room are back in order, the music room...I dunno...it's...well hosed...anything they didn't know what to do with was apparently shoved in there to get it out of sight

My brother in law is getting out of the army (finally) and starting to put his stuff in the spare room here...he's medically retiring, so he's staying here until the VA catches up with the Army on his pay...(can take up to a year for that to happen) so he's staying here for the duration...gods give me patience...that man can talk a dead man's ear off!

That's the update for today...not a lot else going on other than putting my house back into order...

(Yes, i am grateful they do stay outa my herb and magick cabinet...there are some in there that are dangerous)

Definitely...and on the upside, I'm actually physically tired tonight, I'm hoping to sleep at night without herbal aid tonight Yay!!!

Valerian root is good for sleep...but as with all things...too much of a good thing can lead to Bad Things happening.

Either way, turning myself into a day person apparently requires more than just my sleeping at night..I find my stomache doesn't really wake up until the late afternoon when I was normally eating "Breakfast" heh...so I'm having to retrain my tummy too LOL

It must be hard getting back to what is considered for most "normal" sleep patterns.. my husband worked nights.. still does.. it really screwed with his whole life..

I am going well thank you... very very happy.. it is actually my wedding anniversary today.. would have been twenty years.. can you believe that..

I was going to celebrate anyway.. just cause I can... but my husband did go out for lunch with me.. rang up and said.. hey I shouldn't have said this means nothing..

I got some nursing books today second hand.. big expensive looking text books for my daugher who is planning to go to uni next year to do nursing/slash paramedics.. so I am wrapped.. only 50cents each..

They are missing cds... but they would be worth hundreds of dollars..

I'm relieved and glad to hear you are happy and doing well on your own That's wonderful.

I love being single...and while I am seeing someone...a weekend a month or a few days a couple times a year isn't what I'd call a "relationship"...thankfully.

I enjoy my single life and feel it's what I'm best at...at least I'm not going to be dumb enough to get married a 3rd time...I figure I married once for love, once out of obedience...
not even gonna attempt a third LOL

My wedding anniversary would have been 30 years on October 21st. I did celebrate...all by myself...but it's OK. I really did miss him alot this year though but what's a girl to do. Don't know if I'll ever get married again. I saw an attractive man at church last week that made me take a second look lol. Probably married anyway, but IDK...I'm content with my singleness right now so...we shall have to see what the future holds.

My internet crashed on Friday, and even my very tech savvy eldest son couldnt fix it, so waitin on our internet provider to fix the issue.... and who knows how long that will take! Am so grateful that I have free internet, even if it is only for a couple of hours til library closes!! Thank you God!!

I've been spending a couple of days in "recovery" after a hard drive. The old fashioned kind of hard drive.

Wednesday afternoon, they sent me up to Libertyville, Illinois to pick up a 1600 pound machine. Delivery to be made before 7:00 the next morning---- in Winfield, West Virginia. 500 miles one way. Then, I had to come back empty. I got home about 6:00 Thursday afternoon. See, I told you it was a hard drive.

It's been a few years since I last did something like that. Lombard, IL to Danville, Kentucky--- 8 hours one way. Lombard, IL to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. That night it was raining and I had to get the stuff from another driver who had broken down in Indiana. I got to drive through mountains that night. No, not the regular way you'd think, I mean drive THROUGH the mountains---- in really long tunnels. I should have stopped at Gettysburgh but I didn't, even though I passed right by the place on that trip. I regret that I didn't stop, it's big history and I may never have a chance like that again.

These days the long road trips are mostly things of the past. I drive the 7 county Chicago metro area these days, and while it might be a long day it doesn't qualify as the "hard drive" of years past.

Reading all the comments.. I wonder if those who have been burnt by marriage would consider it if the person you were with was or seemed like "the one"... It is a commitment to that person and you do lose some freedom but it could be freeing if we didn't get so darn selfish .. but what is it exactly that we lose and why can't we enjoy each other down the track.. why cannot we keep it fun and interesting and just accept each other for who we are without having to change each other..

Rain... rain and more rain here.. the family got a free male cat from a family member cause she couldn't have anymore in her new house.. but I wish I had not taken it.. sigh.. the thing has stunk up my house.. I have heard if it has an op.. it will be better.. I hope soon.. cause the smell is making me sick..

I got lucky this time around, there was some 5 hours leeway built in. I went home and got my traveling alarm clock and a camera, then stopped for an hour at a time on the way to WV. On the way back it's not a problem, stop when you get tired because you've got plenty of time. I wasn't going to get back in time to do any work anyway so there was time and to spare to get home. One of the advantages of living single.

About the cat: Male cats will do that. Getting it neutered does solve the problem.

Yes, pesky 21st century technology - just went through the same problem.

Net is still down, but my brilliant techy son managed to work out how to "tether" my bonus internet I get on my prepay for my mobile fone, and via blue tooth I can use it on my lap top!! At least I can talk to friends on msn, and check out a few things on net!!
