Well, this place has got quiet after a few months of being very active. Guess these things go in cycles!

After supper I decided to move a pipe that goes to the tenants bathroom to get ready to run my pipes in my new bathroom. Well, in the process I broke a pipe up in their floor and water was running done to the cellar. Turns out there was some old pipe up there that was designed to break if it was wiggled too much! Which is what I was doing! So I had to replace all those pipes. Also when turning off the water found the hot water shut off didn't work, so had to replace that as well. Just got done at 11:15PM! Well, its done, but had to take down my bathroom ceiling which I wasn't planning on doing! But its done now. yaaaa.

yay for being done! I think it's amazing that you fixed all that. I couldn't do it and I would have freaked if that happened to me lol. I just recently had to buy a hose for the backyard and when I went to put the new hose on I found the old one was coroded on the faucet so I tried to loosen it with baking soda and vinegar, but that didn't help so then I had to borrow a channel lock vise grip from a guy at work to get it off. And in the process I had to argue with my 15 year old son (you know cuz they know everything) which way to turn it to loosen it. He was telling me to turn it the wrong way (which I knew was wrong) and when I finally got it off and he noticed which way I was loosening it, he said it had reverse threads . I just let him think what he wanted. It is no use arguing with a teenager. I don't have to be right even though I know I am LOL.
Anyway, after being a widow for 8 years and being forced to do what I can for myself, I appreciate how guys can fix things SO much more now.

I just had to replace my oversize patio door screen because it was bent at the handle. I can't believe how much they charge for screens but it's getting nice weather and I want to be able to open the doors instead of running the A/C so got that repair done. Next is to get my dual paned window replaced that has been cracked and getting worse for the last 2 years. It feels good to be able to fix the things that have needed to be fixed. Alot more to do, but all in due time!

Ha! I couldn't even build a DOLL house LOL but thanks for the encouragement. Really I don't wish to learn about these repairs. I would prefer someone just do them for me. I'm a girl and I don't like fixing things LOL but I do love a man who can

SO a great day .. snow snow and more snow .. called into work and it was closed. Yaaaaaa, not work, so I slept in till 9AM ... Loving it.

I know right? So I got my screen fixed. Landcaping done and dryer vent cleaned out. Next week my window is getting repaired. Funny thing is that I think I'm almost done with the overdue projects? Hahaha. No I am not. I still have to fix the light fixtures on the outside garage. One is cracked (the part the bulb screws into) and they keep blowing thru light bulbs. Then I have my irrigation panel that needs replaced so my plants can get watered. Good thing they are desert plants. And then my truck oil pressure sending unit needs replaced. THEN I think I might be done for awhile...at least with the past due stuff. LOL

Short walk at noon today, roads are still wet with some snow and ice still on them.

Well I guess it's time for another trial. That's what the devil said anyway. I came home from dinner with a friend last night and our puppy had several accidents all over the house. So I told my son (cuz it's his puppy) to clean it up. He did, but he was also accusing my older dog of doing it and cussing at me to which his older brother heard and came out and got in his face and punched him. I was screaming at them to stop! Then my younger son left and I tried to chase after him, but he would not come back. He never came home last night.....he texted me this morning (finally!) that he wasn't coming home, he had a place to stay and at least I knew he was safe! I told him I am not approving of him staying somewhere else and he needs to come home. He said he won't unless my older son leaves. My older son is leaving for 2 months in a month and I am not choosing one son over the other or making my older one leave.

So I guess it's time to ask for prayer. I know God's got this, but I am a wreck and am not sure what I should do or not do. Not sure what my husband would do. My older son also said he HATES his brother which makes me VERY sad, and I told him not to say that to me and that we are supposed to love EVERYONE even when they are unlovable to us because God loves us all the time and alot of the time we are unlovable. Ugh! So distraught. I wanted to have a family hike before my son left, and I certainly had NO idea that either of them felt this way about each other. TIA for the prayers.
Just another day is trial land. I know there is a lesson or a plan or something in this and I know God's got this, but that really doesn't make it easier to go thru.

I read that your younger son was just acting back because of the situation of cleaning up the accidents. The older son wanted to protect you and over reacted. So the whole situation escalated each step.

So what to do? I'd think of the hate statements as mad in the passion of the moment and not their base feelings toward each other. I'd see what I said and did that escalated the situation and apologies for those. Then Thank the older son for standing up for you, but suggest that he also went to far in hitting his brother and that he really needs to apologies for that, being old she should also take the initiative to go talk to the younger one.
Hopefully that gives a path back to some harmony.

I DID thank the older son and told him he went too far and that there were better ways to handle things. HE is the one that said he hates his brother. He said if his brother died today, he would not care, that he does not like him and he would not apologize because he feels the younger one deserved that and more from him. He apologized to ME for disrespecting me when he was younger. He is also the one that said we have NO family. He is also the one that just recently started going back to church on his own. And I tried to explain to him that we need to fix this and how can we help people we don't even know but we don't want to help our family? He also saw me crying and upset but he still wants to beat up his little brother. And the little brother obviously is mad at the older one. Called him a D-bag of a son to me. The younger one always plays the favoritism card. One day I wouldn't let him stay home from school and he started texting me why do I like my older one better than him and what did he ever do to deserve that, and I was like Whaaaaa? because that time his older brother had nothing to do with him staying home or not.

Good to see the older one maturing. He had made great steps in this last year. We just have to pray the younger one will also have a year of maturing soon.

Flu is getting better, but a ways more to go.
Got a few things done on my house this weekend. Didn't go out one evening, did make some calls and go to the men's group Sat. Do no dancing!
Vacation is less that 20 days away. I'm do ready for a long vacation.
