I was playing golf when the explosion happened in Boston. Heard about it on the radio when I started to drive home. I was playing golf on 9/11 also. That's my personal coincidence.

Well I went on the hike with my son AND ABOUT DIED! LOL. Not really but we had to stop about 100 times. My son was so patient with me. The magazine lied. It said it had a short steep beginning and then leveled off. NO! It was UP and DOWN and UP and DOWN. Even on the way back, I was asking WHY are we going UP again? It' was kind of hot. My hands swelled up. My legs and feet were OK but I had trouble catching my breath. No chest pain or anything, I am just severly out of shape, obviously! AND I probably didn't drink enough water the day before. I drank alot on the hike. It was almost 6 miles and it was almost too much for me. Oh well, it's over now and we did have a good time for the most part. Then we came home and showered and went to a mexican restaurant and had a great lunch. THEN I came home and took a 3 hour nap LOL!![]()
Michelle, don't be discouraged! Six miles is a lot to start with. Maybe start by taking a lot of walks around the block or something like that - a lot of one mile walks and get used to doing that. Then you will become ready for more. Check with your doctor about what exercises are appropriate and how much - that about being out of breath and the hands swelling does not sound good but I don't know.
Last Saturday I hiked on parts of a trail I had not tried before and it added up to about 6 miles in all. I think next Saturday I will get an early start and try to walk it twice for 12 miles (I have done 8 miles a few times already).
Came home last night and the puppy was totally lethargic. Took him outside and he tried to do his business but it squirted out and was kind of clear. He wouldn't eat or drink. I finally got some water down him and gave him some maple syrup which he did lick up and then he kind of came back to life a little. This morning he was a little better. But still squirted clear on doing his business. He drank some water and I hand fed him some food. He did also eat a couple of chewable bones that we give them. I think he ate something he shouldn't have and I just hope he is not blocked up where he needs surgery.
ya, who needs something else to clean up.
I've done pretty good at work getting a lot done. but the last 45 mins, I was closing my eyes anytime the computer took a while to preform its tasks!
I took some allergy medicine and all I want to do is sleep!
