It depends on what you mean by "figure." If a "person" is what is meant by "figure", which "figure" in expressionary fashion most often means as it pertains to people in history or in the future to come, then there are plenty of scripture that describe the abomination of desolation to be a man and if you haven't found any, that is because you haven't been studying the scriptures as regularly as you should be.

I don't mean anything by "figure" because I never used the word. You did.

Cite one Scripture claiming the abomination of desolation to be a man.

The abomination of desolation is associated with a man. The image of the beast that the false prophet has made in Revelation 13, is an image of a man.

The transgression of desolation is by a man, in 2Thessalonians2:4.

I've copy/pasted and digitally searched for your "abomination of desolation" therein without success.

Are you sure you spelled it right?

The abomination of desolation goes by other titles as well. Read the chapter again.

I already did. (2 Thess. 2:1-4) He goes by other titles as well.

I've diagnosed the affliction.

It's known as "hallucination of the abomination of desolation".

hallucination
  • n.
Perception of visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or gustatory experiences without an external stimulus and with a compelling sense of their reality, usually resulting from a mental disorder or as a response to a drug.
  • n.
The objects or events so perceived.
Diagnoses don't get more accurate than that.

Your claim that Paul was hallucinating is incredibly disturbing.
