I was camping two weeks ago and I cooked a whole chicken in a dutch oven in the coals. It turned out great.

My wife doesn't like the phrase "without your father". Perhaps I should have put "without the assent of your father" or "without your father having them in mind."

Don't fear those that kill the body but cannot kill the psyche, you should fear more someone who can destroy both the psyche and the body in Gehenna.
Sorry but sparrows are not worth anything of monetary value and were not sold nor could they be peddled for anything. The pun is that even though they are of no value as food they are of value to God because He made them!Matthew 10:29

Are not two sparrows sold for a dime? Not one of them will fall to the ground without your father.

NIV and others have "penny". Hot cross buns are sold two-a-penny. Sparrows are not buns, I think sparrows sell two for a dime.![]()

The word is ασσάριο sesterce an ancient Roman coin and monetary unit equal to one quarter of a denarius. [/FONT]The word is assarion in the text. That's 1/16 denarius. And they're worth exactly that much in of monetary value.

I went to Liddell's third definition to make sense of this verse.
An assarion would be one cent and five mills or three farthings sterling. The word is ασσάριο sesterce an ancient Roman coin and monetary unit equal to one quarter of a denarius.he-man,1) an assarion or as was a Roman coin, originally a tenth of a denarius (that's what denarius means) but revalued at a sixteenth around 140 BC.
Thank you! Yes, you are correct, I had the wrong word. The word is αποκτεννοντω a stronger form of κτείνω, kill, slay 2. of judges, condemn to death, Antipho 5.92, Pl.Ap.30d sq., etc.; also of the accuser, And.4.37, X.HG2.3.21, Th.6.61; put to death, Hdt.6.4: generally of the law, Pl.Prt. 325b. Henry George Liddell. Robert Scott. A Greek-English Lexicon2) ἀποκτείνω means "kill." You've confused it with a different word in modern Greek.
δώματα chamber, room, hall, archaic bedchamber Hom., Trag.: part of a house, the chief room, hall, (Middle Liddell) also, chief room, hall, (LSJ) Henry George Liddell. Robert Scott. A Greek-English Lexicon.3) according to the LSJ, δῶμα means "housetop" in Biblical usage. See also Thayer. Other NT usage makes the meaning clear.
you missed the word ουχι oxi no from πe not plus ό, a ever Sparrows were not sold at all and had no material value.4) ουχι marks a question with the expected answer "yes." A good translation is "Are not ...?"

So no fears then, you aren't a flock of sparrows!

First of all the word is δώματα chamber, room, hall, archaic bedchamber Hom., Trag.: part of a house, the chief room, hall, (Middle Liddell) also, chief room, hall, (LSJ) Henry George Liddell. Robert Scott. A Greek-English Lexicon.Let me also suggest that you see what LSJ actually says about δῶμα in Biblical usage,
