Hmmmm - Jesus had a problem with witchcraft!Avenger21 said:You are nuts! do you really think the corporate leaders of the barbie company are trying to get young girls to practice witchcraft. My mother is pagan and i'm as christian as jesus was! I don' t have a problem with witchcraft. Most of its users use the power for good and not for evil! My mother also doesn't go around telling people to practice witchcraft. before you criticize its users you should find out more about other religions!
That said, Welcome to CF!GALATIONS 5:19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; [20] idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions [21] and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

1000's of Christian toys???? Can you give me an example please?Havoc said:Even if there is a "Wiccan Barbie"... so what?
There are thousands of Christian toys out there, why can't we have toys for our children that identify with our religion?
If you don't like it... don't buy it. Apparently there's enough of the buying public out there that doesn't have a problem with it that Mattel thinks it won't hurt sales and will make a profit. Despite what you choose to believe it's not hurting anyone, especially not you if you exercise your right not to buy it.

So that adds up to 1000's???
I really think most toys are non- religious in nature. I'd also bet that those of you defending Wiccan Barbie would be upset if a Christian Barbie was introduced.

You asked for AN example which generally translates to one example, we gave at least 4 (but there are a lot of veggie tales toys, so that really adds up to more than 4). Go to google or yahoo and search on christian toys and see what comes up, there are HUNDREDS of sites selling christian toys, games, puzzles, etc.sweetkitty said:Ok so veggie tales a nativity set and a noah's ark.

I pretty much agree.sweetkitty said:I really think most toys are non- religious in nature.
Are we protesting the religious toys now being made? Why would that change if it was a Barbie? FIsher-Price is a huge toy manufacturer, if they are making religious toys, why can't Mattel?sweetkitty said:I'd also bet that those of you defending Wiccan Barbie would be upset if a Christian Barbie was introduced.
We would hear cries of how unfair that is and how toys should be non-religious and how that other religions aren't being represented.
That is the great mystery. Why can't we just agree that the toys have the right to exist and we have the right to decide whether or not they are right for our homes?
