gee, my understanding is that even the Jews don't consider the laws that make one unclean as laws thatr refer to sin.
Every family, clan, nation had purity laws. That was how one knew he belonged to that group as opposed to some other group or family.
So what makes us unclean? When we are in relationships with idols. What makes us clean? When we are in relationships with Jesus. So an unbeliever is unclean when he has sex with his wife. Why? because its not within the relationship with the Living God.

Note that Jesus didn't abolish any laws. They are still in effect, the only difference is we don't care about the sacrifice, clean/unclean laws because we have Jesus.
Please don't take things out of context.
If they are still in effect, why don't we care about them?

Paul warned about people like you who try to put people back into bondage under the law! You would do well to read the NT esp Acts, Romans and Galatians.

Oh, yes, I am trying to say that we should all follow the laws even though Jesus negated the need for them! Do you have any idea what I just said? Let me highlight what you clearly missed:
the only difference is we don't care about the sacrifice, clean/unclean laws because we have Jesus.

Try not to put words in my mouth piper.

He is right. All the absolute laws in the OT still apply. But esepcially to gentiles (most of the world), the ceremonial laws and unclean laws do not apply. For example, in Romans, Paul calls all food "clean" but we are not to eat "unclean" food in the presence of those who "consider" it unclean.

Because of Christ, we also don't need to do all the ceremonial things that the OT Jews did because Christ changed the way God dealt with people and they are no longer necessary.

The problem I have with dividing the Mosaic law into parts is that the NT never does this. From my reading this dividing of the law into 2 or 3 parts took place in the 1800's and Jews to this day view the Law of Moses to be one whole unit. Not parts. The NT never says laws and this group is to be obeyed and that group Jesus fulfilled. I read verses that say if I break the law I broke the law. No one rule of the law. The Mosaic law is always singular. Its one law. We broke the law and so we are transgressors of the law. I therefore have no hope of righteousness by means of the law. My only hope is by grace. The only way the NT says I can fulfill the law is thru love.

That's what I see when I read the NT. Paul also is pretty clear that the law was an administration of death. That life doesn't come thru the law but thru grace and a relationship with Jesus.

Here is a breaktrough for all yo LUST lovers and SINNERS

Jesus :

Mat 5:17 Do not think that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to destroy but to fulfill.

Yeah to fulfill the law and put an end to the things imposed upon them till the reformation.

So, one is a lust ~lover~ and even ~more of~ a sinner (then what we naturally already are) simply because one might get sexually aroused (burn) and touch?

I'll ask a stupid question (in a funny sorta way)...Lust not after your neighbors wife (and do unto others right?)

Where does it speak (in relation to our natural arousal) anything against your own hands? One would not be in lust ~for~ or ~after another~. Your own hands are your own for goodness sake^_^

Where does it say, thou shalt not touch?^_^

Peace

Didn't you say that the Law in the OT is for the OT only and the NT has a new Law ?
Didn't you say that the OT Law is jut for the Jews ?

Who told you that the Law of God is no more and you have a new to follow ?

Who told you that :

Lev 15:16 And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.
Lev 15:17 And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.
Lev 15:18 The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.

Is not a sin ?

Lev 15:29 And on the eighth day she shall take two turtle-doves to her, or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. Lev 15:30 And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering. And the priest shall make atonement for her before Jehovah for the issue of her uncleanness.
Lev 15:31 So you shall separate the sons of Israel from their uncleanness, so that they do not die in their uncleanness when they defile My tabernacle that is among them.
Lev 15:32 This is the law of him that has an issue, and of him whose sperm goes from him and is defiled with it,
Lev 15:33 and of her that is menstruating, and of him that has an issue, of the man, and of the woman, and of him that lies with an unclean woman.

Go and read for what does God require sacrifyce ! In the OT !
And no you don't need to kill animals no more !
But the Law is still there !

But hey ! :)
Do as you like ! And belive what you Love !
My Job is to remind you of your sins !
