Absolutely not. I'm a fan of both. Now, I am married but my wife and I lived together for a 4 years before marriage and have been together (and active) longer than that. If it's a committed relationship, have a blast. I still do the touch too when I need too but not that often. It's healthy. Cleaning out the pipes reduces the risk of prostate cancer or at least that's what I read somewhere.

I prefer touching yourself,... my hand never talks back to me and makes me perform a certain way,... and it's not like it's all about me too.... i love my hand, i treat it nice, moisturize everyday, keep it nice and soft... i like how it doesn't complain when i get excited by a big breasted blond and splugge all over it.

I practice master bation while indulging in fornication. Hmmm. I think living in a politicle bubble sucks. Ill **** and jerk off when ever i want to. Ill pay for it later. Kinda like putting a [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] on layaway.

I don't mastrubate excessively only about 3 times a week, but I'm trying to stop and I end up doing it and I feel terrible and that I'm hellbound. Please pray that I can give up mastrubation, please.

:help:

hey bud, i'm in your shoes too...since getting back with the Lord he has helped me to overcome the need or feeling. Since reading more in His book & constantly praying & such he's given me the strength to overcome it and think of something else...or when I'm starting to feel myself thinking of it DON'T go any further, just turn away. Hope this helps! Just pray & read MORE, can't go wrong with it... :)

My viewpoint on all things is this - If you HAVE TO ASK if something is okay, that means you have doubts, and you need to ask God. It seems to me like He is already telling you what is wrong. You have some Christians, who still succumb to their own desires.. (premarital sex, profanity, masturbation). Masturbation is SEX; it is just SOLO and not between TWO people. It counts as sexual immorality.

And you can't listen to someone's view on the Bible who doesn't even SERVE the God you serve... I mean, really. You need to ask God about it... and I reiterate - If you have to question it, chances are you know it is wrong already.. seeking counsel from others will just distort what you know to be wrong.

On the contrary, tcampen, Jesus clearly expressed His view of masturbation in Matthew 5:28-30.

Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Mat 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Mat 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Now, maybe you didn't get that, in which case you have obviously never commited this sin . In the eyes of God, the sin of masturbation is every bit as bad as the act of adultery. It causes you to view people as objects for your pleasure rather than the pleasure of God. Masturbation and the lust that goes along with it make you the object of your own idolatry. Do not fool yourself into thinking that it's not a sin if no one knows about it: God knows, and God will NOT let bad deeds go unpunished. We've gotta learn to leave our corruptions behind us, guys, and strive for the goal of our race. May the blessings and mercy and love of God be revealed to you in the coming days, Amen. Good night, and God bless.

NOT! That verse has NOTHING to do with masturbation. Otherwise, we'd all be cutting penises and tongues off. Not to mention fingers. And I might point out that lusting over not-real imaginary breasts or behinds or whatever during the act itself is quite a bit different than slobbering over someone when you see them.

And its a moot point -- we're all human. God created it so; He knows better than to think we're going to be perfect. That's what Grace is all about, and I think it's wide enough to cover even those teenage boys who prefer to silence their hormones by themselves (as opposed to not masturbating and becoming an ogler).

I'll tell you what, I don't think that a purely scriptural or logical argument can be leveled against masturbation. I think what it comes down to is the authority of the church. Just as Liviticus and the chair of Moses rose out of Moses' use of the authority God invested in him and the seed of the law which God etched into stone, so too moral doctrines set forth by the church for the edification of Her children grow out of the seed of scripture. What we're doing here is analogous to arguing over the placement and number of branches and roots of a tree while examining it's seed. This is a fruitless debate because some precepts of the church (like this one) are not necessarilly reasonable without the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

14 But the sensual man perceiveth not these things that are of the Spirit of God. For it is foolishness to him: and he cannot understand, because it is spiritually examined

fornication? i'm pretty sure that's a big no-no.

masturbation though...yeah...that's tough. my take is if you're addicted and cannot get your mind off of it, then you should probably stop. if god thinks you should stop, he'll make it loud and clear.

hmm...not really. if masturbation is indeed so terrible, why isn't there a single reference to it in the bible? all the other terrible sexual sins are pretty well defined. doesn't it make sense that if god thought it was an important issue he'd devote at least *something* to it in the bible?
