I dont get it either.Because some people apparently believe the Bible is a book about Mary. I guess maybe they need a High Priestess or a Goddess to worship. Personally, I don't get it. The whole thing is a bit creepy to me.

Nonsense. You can't name a single person who believed Baptist theology until John Smyth created your religion in 1609. Your system of belief is a tradition of this man, not the Bible, and not the apostles.
Nonsense. Some of the books were widely accepted at the time of Constantine's death. Some were not. Some were disputed. The father of your faith Martin Luther even tried to throw the book of James out of the Bible when he rejected the authority of the councils!
Nonsense. There is nothing in the Bible to uphold your false Baptist doctrine of "salvation by faith alone" which directly contradicts the language of scripture, and which was invented by the father of your false religion Martin Luther.
"Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only."
Please go ahead and try to make up excuses, spin, and twist scripture to explain why a core belief of your false religion directly contradicts the language of scripture.
You can play nice, or you can play nasty. It's totally up to you.

The Ark of the Covenant, however, is a Figure of Her...
The Spirit already intercedes on our behalf. The Lord is that Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:17 and so there in no need for Mary.prayers to Her for Her intercession to Christ in our behalf.
Jack Chick with Google?
A.
Huh?

Mary is the Church now? What? She is in turn the Church in a Figure - See Revelation Chapter 12 - The Woman:
A Woman clothed with the sun,
and with the moon under her feet,
and upon Her Head a Crown of Twelve Stars:
Salvation came to the earth through Her Body...
Simple fact...
She is worthy of all veneration...
Do YOU call Her Blessed?

Think veneration, Jack...Orthodoxy and Catholicism are a mix of some Christianity with lots and lots of paganism. Mary worship is idolatry. It's sin against our dear God.
"Do not turn to the spirits of the dead and do not seek familiar spirits to become unclean by them. I am the LORD your God." (Leviticus 19:31)
This is a heartless and straw-man-phoney remark...
The Ark of the Covenant, however, is a Figure of Her...
The veneration of the Blessed Virgin is a part of the 2000 year history of Christianity, including prayers to Her for Her intercession to Christ in our behalf. The rejection of Her veneration is a very post-printing-press modern phenomenon, fueled by the Reformation's and Latin Church's disagreement, hatred, and warfare with each other...
Your getting creeped out by it is one of the bigger stumbling blocks Protestant converts to the Orthodox Catholic Faith have to face. I was personally not indoctrinated with Her rejection, being an atheist convert, but the general veneration of Saints was something I did without particularly believing any of it, but did so out of simple obedience... No longer, btw... I know it is true now... The Body of Christ is one Body, and communion with the Church Triumphant is by prayer, and that with the Church Militant is face to face, person to person, heart to heart...

Honesty is always the best policy...
False accusations of Mary Worship are not honest...

The Church is the bride of Christ. Does He marry His own mother? No sir, that is not correct.Yes, in a figure -
We are birthed into Christ by Her, by the Church, in Baptism...
She gives us healing and the Holy Spirit, as did Ananias to Saul, remember?
And Philip the Ethiopean Eunuch?
And Peter Cornelius?

Which is why I am an Eastern Orthodox Catholic, and not a Latin Church member...I appreciate your opinion and respect your faith, but I'm an ex-Catholic. The "veneration" (worship) of Mary isn't a stumbling block for me converting to Catholicism, per se. Rather, it was a stumbling block to my knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while I was Catholic. It wasn't until I stopped studying CCC and started studying the Word of God that I realized how many of the things I was raised to believe and do as a member of the RCC were completely unbiblical, some of them outright sinful. That was the start of my deep, personal relationship with God, for which I thank him many times every day.
It is spelled "veneration"...OK, I thought "venaration" means respect. If it means WORSHIP then it's idolatry
It's against GOD
It's a grave sin
Which is why I am an Eastern Orthodox Catholic, and not a Latin Church member...

"How the West was LOST..."My friend, this is a lot more than mere veneration.

It is spelled "veneration"...
It means honor and reverence...
Veneration is not mere respect...
Are you old enough to remember when Protestant ministers were all called "Reverend"?
