Christians show so much faith in so many areas so why not here also.
The creator of the universe made this planet especially for us.
Do you know the probability of having a planet the correct size, and distance from the sun, with a single large moon, and atmospheric conditions, and temperature range, etc. to make our home?
Even with the sin problem, this planet is almost the Garden of Eden when compared to the rest of the solar system.
The amount of money and energy required to make a lunar or Mars colony work make it totally impractical.
When I was a youth, there was a great deal of talk about building cities under the ocean. That idea suffered from the same realities as a future Mars colony.
The United States is many trillions of dollars in debt.
We cannot afford another money pit, with little or no return on the investment.
Are we going to borrow money from China to pay for our space colony?
We do not even have a space truck (shuttle) at present, because of the money required to make the project work.
I am a retired science teacher, who likes science fiction movies, and sometimes science fiction becomes science fact, when it is practical.
However, there is difference between science fact and science fiction.
The laws of physics rule the difference between the two.
The physical conditions on Mars dictate that reality.
Sorry, I have to go for now. I need to wash my flying car...
