What "normal country" has worked it out?

In the UK, they stab you and rob you while you bleed out. I suppose that's preferable. In Australia, when your government decides it's time to remove your rights...there's a place to register a complaint on your way to quarantine.
Murder rate in ‘Murica is what now?

Why should you not be called a bigot for that? If I said I don't think we should allow children to see Christians would you not feel that bigoted and call it such?

Just because it is an opinion does not mean it can not be hateful. In my experience they are the things that are hateful. Thinking Jews are inferior is an opinion and it is hateful. That you do not perceive your opinion as hateful (and who of us does?) does not mean others do not see it that way.

Of course you have a right to it. Everyone has right to their opinion. That does not mean your opinion can't be challenged. Is this not what Christians claim? That they are challenging homosexual opinions and calling out what they feel to be wrong? Doesn't everyone get to do that? Can't homosexuals respond to those who have tried to stop them from receiving civil rights? Don't you think they might be angry because of the treatment they have received?
I'm not calling anyone out. I'm saying children are not ready to learn about such things until they are in the 5th grade. About 10 years old. That's not young enough for you? I wouldn't want to explain to a four year old that there are men who have sex with men or even that men and women have sex or anything about sex.

When you say "its just my opinion" it sounds like youre advocating universal tolerance for all opinions, and that no opinion should count against ones character. Is that true?
I'm saying 4 year olds are too young to learn about sex and that they shouldn't learn about sexual Orientation and gender identity until they are in the 5th grade. That's not young enough for you?

its good to know that when Pastor Joe Jones of the Shield of Faith Baptist Church stood at the pulpit and called for the slaughter of any and all LGBT individuals hate had nothing to do with his call for mass murder had nothing to do with hate, he was just disagreeing
That has nothing to do with what I posted.

I don't want a public school teaching kids about religion either. I might not agree with their version.

Who wanted them counted and why,? Think man think. Why would slave states want their property counted as a person for the census?
For power in congress. Not for anything that would advance freedom.

No, it's time to follow it. The left wants to move on. They attack it and then when we try to stop it they say it's time to move on. They try to subvert it and then you want to claim that the subversion is telling us it's time to move on?

No it's time to hold on and stop the subversion.

No, the left is not attacking it. Understanding it differently then you do and wanting to make changes is not an attack. We get to have our ideas heard as well no matter how much you rant and rave against it.

Youre dodging my question about the principle you were proposing.

These two sentences contradict each other. If you are telling people you believe it wrong to learn about a subject at an early age you are calling them out for doing so.

As far as the age, what do the experts in child care say? They are the ones I think it appropriate to be informed by. I am always suspicious of the idea that giving people information is damaging to them. That sounds a bit to much like thought police for my comfort.

That, I think, is the crux of the issue. People wish to control information to ensure "proper" understanding. I see it on both sides of the aisle and I think it damaging to society as a whole. Freedom, especially freedom of thought, is scary so we try to limit and channel it.

They are too young for any type of sex education.

So it's okay for a public school to teach religion as long as you approve of the religion?

The objections go beyond that, to things like just showing a same sex couple in the same way we've always shown hetero couples in age appropriate media.
