evidence?
Gina Carano - Wikipedia

Weeks later, after facing calls from some fans to put her preferred gender pronouns in her Twitter profile,[73][76] she added the words "beep/bop/boop". Critics interpreted this as ridicule,[5] leading to accusations of transphobia.[77][78][79] She later apologized[77] and removed them, saying that Mandalorian actor Pedro Pascal had helped her understand the use of preferred pronouns

Yes yes. You are so put upon. You can't even post a gay swastika in the UK. When will the persecution stop?
You mean this UK?

Also I'd say calling those not in favor of the LGBTTQQIAAP+ agenda Nazis in a round about way, certainly smacks of persecution.

Racists tried that ploy and failed. They would threaten African American families by burning the cross in a willing neighbor's yard. It's still a hate crime and can still get you arrested.
U.S. Supreme Court Upholds VA Cross-Burning Ban But Sends Law Back to State Court for Refinement
APRIL 7, 2003

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RICHMOND, VA - The United States Supreme Court today ruled that KKK member Barry Black could not be convicted of a crime under Virginia's cross-burning statute because of the law's unconstitutional presumption that all cross-burning is intended to intimidate.

Just in Portland they cut the police budget by 16 million...it hasn't worked out so well.
"Portland has seen its most violent year, with a record number of 72 homicides, surpassing its previous full-year record of 66 in 1987. Nationally, homicides increased by nearly 30% from 2019 to 2020, based on FBI data. In Portland, deadly violence increased at a faster rate than nearly all major cities, with an 83% increase in homicides in 2020."

"Our police bureau staffing levels are at record lows and based on projected retirements, staffing levels will continue (to decrease) unless we take decisive action now," Wheeler said."

the 16 million cut was less than 6% of the police budget in Portland. Police staffing was unaffected. further the cut didn't happen until the fall of 2020 and almost all of the homicides took place before this.

prior to a 2003 ruling by the Supreme Court cross burning by racists was considered a form of free speech and was therefor protected speech.

Once again context is important. You just keep missing context. Freedom of speech is balanced with context.

Are you one of those that wants to toss people is jail for pointing out the authoritarian lgbt movement?

is it ridiculous to arrest someone who burns a cross or defaces a temple?

If they burned the cross in a location they owned or had permission to use, it’s ridiculous to arrest them. If they have ownership or the temple it’s ridiculous to arrest them.

Oh no! You were called a Nazi in a round about way! If you think that is persecution then my point is made.

I kind of think this is bullying. No one has the right to protest using such vulgar symbolism to prove a point. Blessings.

Of course they do. That's where freedom of speech matters most.

Not in anything approaching reality. But you guys should whine some more about how your no longer allowed to bash gay people without push back. It's a great look.

See this is where you guys go off the rails. You just can't separate the idea of being against an authoritarian ideology and a person.

What we are bashing is the political ideology that says "you must accept and celebrate everything we do or we will seek to punish you for it. And furthermore you must accept that we are going to educate your children to accept it and believe in it."

This man being put in jail for pointing this out is proof of his meme. That the political ideology is crushing. That's the problem.

Sure.

Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy there. Complaining about authoritarianism in a way that's sure to get the authorities to crack down. Kinda like hording illegal weapons to protect yourself from the government taking your weapons, which prompts the ATF to conduct a raid.

Let's be sure to understand that words are not bullets. That whole tangent by you and @Larnievc to equate words with bullets is absurd.

It is interesting that Paul, preaching the Gospel in a culture where homosexuality was rife and accepted as normal, did not speak out publicly against it. Sure, in his letters to Christians he mentioned it as a sin, but there is no record that he spoke against it when preaching to the unconverted. When he arrived in Corinth, a city that was well known for its male temple prostitutes, to preach the Gospel and plant a Christian church, he determined to know nothing among them except Christ and Him crucified. He said that it is the Gospel of Christ which is the power of God leading to salvation to those who believe it. Therefore his view is consistent with that of Jesus in dealing with social and cultural problems: "You must be born again." It is of no point to rail against issues in our culture, because one would be talking to people dead in their trespasses and sins and all they would be able to perceive is homophobic hate speech. Therefore, the religious zealots who rail against transgender and homosexuality are merely making a rod for their own backs.

That's true, and in another thread I'd totally support that (and I've said the same thing in other threads).

But it's not a point in this thread, inasmuch as the OP did not make it a matter of religion.

No it isn’t. It’s how society stops people from being jerks.

They gave him a choice between prison and "re-education" because of the way he thinks. How is that different from what the Soviets did and Chinese still do?

and what was the intent of the swastika?

The author of the meme explained it. It was to protest and point out the authoritarianism of the LGBTQ political movement. You must submit or else.

As we all know political protesting can and does use extreme imagery to make a point.

and if you are burning a cross to threaten (is there another reason?) then it is still a crime.
