Until yesterday my Web site (www savoiretcroire ca) could not be read from a smart phone device, because the characters shrunk too much to be useful.

It is a WordPress site built with the Twenty-Ten theme. I chose this older theme because it supports IE better than some of the most recent themes I know of.

Yesterday I activated a plugin called Responsive Twenty-ten which seems to work perfectly when I look at it from my computer. I would appreciate feedback from anyone interested in visiting the site with smarphones to tell me if they can actually read my contents and navigate properly.

I would also be interested in learning from other webmaster's experience in making their websites smart phone friendly...

Thank you to all participants...

I'm just going to tell you right now: Use a theme that is actively supported and patched if you do not want your site to be hacked. If you refuse to, then at least back up your site - the database too, not just the files. This is so that when you get hacked, you will have a known-clean copy to go back to that you can be sure doesn't have any backdoors that the hacker would leave behind. I have to clean that stuff up all the time where I work.

I know you didn't ask for this, but you are welcome. This appears to be a Christian blog, you don't want it defaced by unbelievers or abused to send porn spam.

I really do appreciate what you just said. Also I have began to get reports from other sources I asked to check my site with a smart phone, and what comes out from this is that the older version which I believed not to be behaving properly on smartphones is in fact better than the new version with the outdated plug in that is no longer being updated.

So thank you... :groupray:
