  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just so everyone knows here is the schedule for the upcoming episdoes of Lost:
April 13th: (this Wed.) repeat-episode 14 titled: "Special"
April 20th: repeat-episode 15 titled: "Homecoming"
April 27th: NEW!-episode 21 titled: "Lost: The Journey"
May 4th: NEW!-episode 22 titled: "The Greater Good"
May 11th: NEW!-episode 23 titled: "Born to Run"
I don't know when the season finale is going to be, but it's 2 hours long. They have been misleading people in the previews for this Wed that it is the season finale, but it isn't.

I know when the season finale is going to be, because they are airing it up against the season finale of American Idol. Argh!!!! The season finale of Lost is supposidly called "Exodus". I will be watching one and taping the other. Probably taping Lost so I can rewatch it and look for clues.

They're on the same night?! How could they do that?! That's like a really bad decision competing against American Idol or AI competing against Lost. They're both pretty big shows. I'll probably tape Lost as well so I can see AI live.

Okay... I TOTALLY missed this on the episode from two weeks ago... but I just got finished watching Desperate Housewives, and they showed a commercial for Lost that included a montage of clips from recent episodes as part of the promo for the season finale. They played a clip from the scene where Boone was in the little plane and got through to someone on the radio. I had replayed that scene over and over and over again trying to make out what the response was from whoever he got through to, and I was never able to make out anything except their acknowledgement of "Flight 815". Well, on the clip during tonight's promo, they made it VERY clear what was said.

Boone said: "We're the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815!"
The response was: "WE'RE the survivors of Flight 815!" (emphasis on the "we're")

So whoever Boone got through to on the radio believes that they are (also?) survivors of Flight 815, but they did not respond with "Oceanic". So are they survivors of the same flight? (How would that be possible?) Are they survivors of a different Flight 815?

That blew my mind with the possibilities when I saw it. I have to think they made that response clear in the promo because it's important, and hopefully going to be addressed in the season finale. Which I can't wait for! :D

So, maybe these flight numbers have something to do with the numbers that Hurley won the lottery with. The numbers the French lady was repeating over and over again? They haven't been back to that issue in a while. How are those numbers connected to that island?!

In one of the early episodes, Jack was talking with the minor Character Rose. We've seen her maybe four times. It was the episode where the burned the plane and had a memorial for the people who died in the crash. Jack suggested that Rose say something about her husband. The converastion went something like

Rose: "He's not dead. if he had died I would know it."
Jack: "But Rose. He was in the back of the plane. It broke off before we landed. Everyone who was in the back of the plane id dead."
Rose: "That's probably what they are thinking about us."

I think they are setting up next season which will feature the survivors from the back of the plane.

The flight number is repeated in every episode, just as a clue for faithful fans (like was done in the X-files). Clues to the numbers have been popping up all over the place in every episode. The French lady's transmission that kept repeating apparently said something to the affect "They're all dead, I'll try to meet you at Black Rock".

See my rant in the TAR7 thread...

As far as Lost goes, I have loved the thrill ride and jaw dropping moments so far this season. I haven't been this entranced by a series in recent memory. I've also been dying to hit speculation and spoiler sites, but I've limited myself to this thread and one on another forum - and I think my viewing pleasure has only been that much more enhanced. My only spoilage was last week when I came home from work, turned on my TV and had Robin Roberts of ABC tell me on GMA they would have Boone on after the half-hour break.

Hi Lost fans!

The show is in it's early stages in SA, not as far as the US had gotten. I was just wondering if anybody knew how many episodes there will be in total? Because somebody counted up to 23 above but usually there are 22 or 24 episodes in a season (I'm just referencing to West Wing etc. now), so maybe there will be 24? Or nr 23 will be "double"?

I can't wait to see the rest of it!

Did it say we're the survivors of flight 815 or there were not survivors of flight 815?

The first time I heard it, I thought he said, "There were no survivors of flight 815" but it didn't sound quite right. I turned up the volume and played it again, and my husband and I both heard "We're the survivors of flight 815!" We played it back several times after that, and I'm positive that's what they said.

I really like the idea that Rose's husband and others from the part of the plane that fell off before the crash could possibly be somewhere else on the island... or even somewhere else entirely, but nearby. Maybe that's where the raft will end up if they ever get it in the water. Only question is, how did the people from the back of the plane get a radio?

By the big breaks in between new episodes, I would think they will be way down
on episodes. Maybe 18?
Or are they going to continue past the normal rerun time?

Actually, they've already passed that number.

20 episodes have aired so far. :)

I know because I have them all taped! Hehe.

Now that I think about it, I could've sworn that the guy on the radio said, "There were no survivors of flight 815".

However...

Imagine, if all this time, there was another set of people on the OTHER side of the island going through their own drama.

Imagine if season 2 of Lost brings about a whole new cast... as though we're watching another series premiere with 16 new characters, all with stories and mysticisms of their own. Scott Wolf, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and a bunch of other B-List actors and actresses.

I have learned that the apparent confusion has come because the line was actually changed. Originally it air as there were no survivors and in the promo's it's airing as we're the survivors. There are two therories: 1. it was an April Fool's joke that the producers wanted to see if fans would catch or 2. the producers changed the direction of the storyline after the original taping of that episode.

Anyway, I hope I can share this link with you, I guess I'll find out if I can't. It's so interesting. It gives you all the summaries to all the episodes, plus some clues. http://www.tvtome.com/Lost/guide.html Please someone tell me if you're allowed to post links like this. I will edit it out if not.

What a great site, thanks for posting that!!

And I don't think there's anything wrong with posting links like that. I've posted several outside links to sites that give information about shows before, and no one ever told me to stop anyway :)

That's the place where I got what the next episodes were going to be.

There are going to be 24 I think, because they show on the site above that the next new episodes are going to be 21, 22, and 23 and then there's the season finale and that makes 24.

This is really getting old.
one or two shows and then 2-3 weeks of reruns.

So far they have kept my interest, but it is going to be tough to
remember if the episode is new or old.

How many new episodes have we had this time?
One wasn't it?
Maybe it would be better to wait and buy the season on Dvd, might be easier
keeping up with the stories.
It's not hard to hide things when it's two or three weeks before they try to remember them again.
Great show but it is not presented very well.
