Great episode.

The Chest tube with a knitting needle, ouch.

Interesting, using a sea porcupine for an IV needle.

The baby was born within minutes of Boones death.

Is the island keeping a certain number of people alive?

I may have missed it, or Jack is not thinking clearly. Boone never said
Locke killed him.
He did tell Jack that Locke was hiding something.
The plane and the Hatch.
But how can Jack say it was murder?
Locke does have some explaining to do, but nothing close to murder.

What did BOone want to tell Shannon?
"tell shannon,tell shannon...."

How many Lost watchers know their blood type?
I am A+, my wife is A-. I think both daughters are neg. My dad is AB-.
( My dads is rare, thats the only reason I know his.)

Is the island feeding off of their emotions?
Making the weakened people believe in crazy things?
creating hostility between people and eventually causing the
group to kill each other?

Survivor Count
50 Initial crash survivors
49 Man sucked into engine on the beach
48 Pilot killed by monster
47 Jack killed the Marshal
46 Lady Joanna Drowns
45 Scott is killed
44 Boone dies

(Claire's son born)
But the Baby is not in the original count so that makes 44 survivors and Ethan doesn't count because he wasn't part of the original survivors.

And here's an interesting tidbit I found on another forum about the number 815. It appears in every episode. I never caught it personally, but here's what some very observant people have noticed.

815 was the number of the flight

Kate's safe deposit box was number 815
Charlie sold copier model 815 in his back story
Locke told his mother in the store that the footballs were in aisles 8 and 15
Michael's apartment was number 815
Sawyer and Jack's dad had 8 shots from a bottled with the number 15 on it.

I guess there's a reference to 815 in every episode if you look.

Jack's bride was wearing number 44!

Why oh why didn't I start watching this show from the beginning?

Did anyone catch GMA this morning? The guy who plays Boone was going to be on and they were trying to get some dirt out of him, but I had to leave before he was on.

Ian Summerholder seemed a bit ditzy and disjointed during his segment with Robin Robers - oh, and as someone how taped the show - thanks GMA for spoiling the plot twist for me, though, given his wounds last week, it wasn't really that much of a surprise. His interview as generally a disappointment for me since I had become so enamored with Boone's character.

Someone with a faster Internet connection than me might endevour to check this, but I think 8 and 15 are two of the numbers on Locke's box, and that were broadcasted to Russeau and to the buddy of Hurley's psychotic friend that gave him the lottery numbers. But this is just an IIRC claim until someone else can verify or falsify it.

I'm O Negative. I know this because I donated a few gallons before being declared inelligable to donate by the ARC because I lived in Northern Europe during the 1980s (see American Red Cross blood donation guidelines for why this is so). Had I never been a blood donor, I wouldn't have known my blood type, but on the flip side, I would have known, unlike Charlie, that I was searching for O negs as well as A matches.

About Jack....

In the Pilot episode, I forget if it was part 1 or part 2, when Kate is sewing him up he relates the story of messing up a spinal surgery. Was that a reference to the "broken back" of his eventually to be bride? There are just too many self-referencing story lines in this wonderful show for me to think it wasn't.

About Locke...

JJ Abrams promised one major characters death this season - and Boone was it. I don't see the scenes of Sayeed threatening him with a pistol and his being shot as anything than a diversion to another exposition as to why Locke was in a wheelchair.

And that's about all the speculation I'm willing to engage in... I can't wait for next weeks episode. I can't wait for the week after that. And I'm trilled to death (unless I'm doing my mental math wrong) that I will be at home instead of working to see the finale. I enjoy my taped copies, but nothing beats a read live show.

R.I.P. Boone... but I think we'll see Ian on screen again...

What were the lotto(cursed) numbers Herly used?

44 was one wasn't it?

I looked for a serial number on the plane. Nothing.

Jack should have eaten after giving blood. Drinking some juice would
have been good too.
will have to watch the numbers in the show.

Numbers are apparently very significantly used in this show. Jack's fiance was wearing a shirt with the number 44 on the front (the number of survivors), but it was also repeated on the back again (another 44). 4+4+4+4=16 which is a number. Jack was wearing a ying yang shirt I presume to point out the fact we were suppose to notice her shirt and recognize the symbolism of the number on her shirt. Insane small clues I know, but they are scattered throughout the show.

My referencing the number 44, is there is always a clue of a number significance when there will be a casulaty, such as when the number dropped to 46, there were hidden clues referencing the number 46. Just a funny thing JJ Abrams keeps doing.

How about this numbers therory. 4+8+15+16+23=66, the power ball was 42. Add 4+2=6. You end up with - well you know. Is that some kind of crazy coincidence?

Can someone tell me how you add a link? I found this really cool post I'd love to share with everyone but don't know how to add it, or if I'm even allowed. Can someone tell me the proper way, do I cut and paste or provide a link or what?

What happens when the number of people reaches 42?(the highest number from the lotto)
Just voicing a line of thinking...
1 dog
2 Asian People
3 Black people
4 women?
8 men?
44 survivors
10 pistols
1 hatch
2 destroyed airplanes.
1 live polar bear, 1 dead.
Don't know where this might go but it is something to think about.
Obviously they haven't shown all 44 people, so the list would be incomplete.

And there are other women we don't know yet. When Sawyer was yelling at people to keep it down while he was suffering from his headache, there was at least one "unnamed" woman in the group he was yelling at.

1. Jack
2. Sawyer
3. Charlie
4. Sayid

6. Locke
7. Michael

Am I missing a main character...?

But again, there are other men who have been left unnamed.

Heh, yeah, what you said :D

Don't forget:

2 children now
1 jungle monster from hell ;)

Speaking of children... someone might have to refresh my memory for me, but didn't the French woman say something along the lines of the island "took" her baby? I cannot remember if she had already given birth when she landed on the island, or if she was still pregnant. But I know she said her baby was gone.

How is this going to tie in with Claire's new baby? Is the island going to take him? Is Locke going to take him? Does Locke have the same "sickness" that the French woman's people got?

Argh, too many questions, not enough answers!!

Heh, and I like Boone was going to say "Tell Shannon I love her and I'm sorry" or something along those lines. That's what anyone would say in that situation, I think.

Well there is definately more to the Shannon and Boone story. I don't think any of it will be addressed this season. I think more will be uncovered about those two next year. I think the remainder of this year is going to focus on Locke, the baby, and the boat. And yes Danielle (the french woman) did mention she had a baby, but just said it was gone. She also made mention that there were "others" on the island.

I think we're going to find that all of these people are connected in some way, and were not on that plane by accident. So far I've picked up on a few connections, but don't want to reveal too many as to spoil the fun for anyone else trying to figure things out.

I've noticed the importance of numbers, the numerous biblical references, and the interesting literary references. The writing on this show is just amazing. No wonder people tape it and watch it again, because you could never pay attention to every clue and detail that is packed into each episode.

Here's some bad news though: David Fury, a top writer and co-executive producer of Lost, told SCI FI Wire that he is quitting the show immediately to work on two other series, 24 and a new show called The Inside. He had written four scripts for Lost, including the fourth episode, "Walkabout," which centered on Locke.

Why does this always happen to good shows? You lose the good people that helped make it a success. I hope the quality of the show isn't affected.
