He had some great power. Seems to me that it went to easy.
Charley put multiple rounds into him.
But is he human?

Life should be a little easier now they have 5 pistols. Getting meat. and fighting off the polar bears(?).

Unfortunately I was having computer troubles and was trying to fix it and didn't realize how late it was so I missed the first half.

I think that Jin is growing suspicious of Sun. He was probing her with questions... as though he was trying to figure out how much English she could understand.

Anyone else feel that way?

I think Jin can speak and understand English himself, but also doesn't want anyone to know. When I think about the job he had, what he did for Sun's father, it just seems likely that learning English would be of benefit to him. And the way he always looks at people when they are talking to him, the way he brought the fish to (gah, can't remember who wanted the fish, Hurley maybe?) after being begged for it, the way he looked at Charlie last night when he said to him, "You can't understand what I'm saying anyway" ... it just seems like he and Sun are keeping this secret from each other, and it's the same thing!

I also have a theory that something or someone on the island gives people what they want most. In the first episode, Claire thought her baby was dead because it hadn't been moving and she couldn't feel it. Then it was alive again. Locke wanted more than anything to go on the walkabout, but couldn't because he was crippled. Now he can not only walk, but he's also this excellent adventurist - just what he wanted most. Walt wanted his dog to be found, then he got him back. There are so many examples of that, but the biggest was the episode where Boone got to experience what it would be like for Shannon to be dead and gone from his life.

But more than anything, I want to know what the monster in the jungle is!

Yeah, but they only have 93 round now, and that number is bound to deminish. Also, where the heck did Charlie get his pistol?

Charlie picked up Jack's pistol from off the ground - Ethan knocked it out of Jack's hand, and Charlie must have grabbed it when he showed up on the scene.

Does anyone else find it hard to take Charlie (or Dominic Monaghan) seriously due to his 'hobbitness'?

He's just so tiny... when I was watching him flirt with that girl in his flashback, it seemed almost comical to watch.

I think Charlie killed Ethan as much for himself as Claire. Ethan left Charlie to die when Jack was following them.

I think Charlie killed Ethan as much for himself as Claire. Ethan left Charlie to die when Jack was following them.

I would've just shot him in his butt for revenge.

What if Ethan is Charlies manifestation. What if the island manifests everyones fears, either for a sinister purpose, or it allows them to redeem themselves. Charlie hated himself for failing the girl in his background story, and he got a chance redeem himself with claire. The black guy (michael?) was able to redeem himself by protecting his son from the bear. Locke, and the kid may have failed, maybe thats why they seem to be on different sides from the rest of the group.

Yes, I think it's going to come do something like Jin being in dire need of medical attention and her having to 'talk' to Jack in order to save his life or something...

Although, you have to wonder a little bit at Jin's attitude if he CAN understand English. Remember how apathetic he was toward the whole situation with Claire? He said something like 'I was almost killed because of something they've done' in that mean hateful way...
