Oh man, I really feel bad for you. I'm so sorry. This episode was so good it has to be one of the best two or three so far! My roommate and I were both screaming at the end of it!

Thanks for reminding me about the abc.com recap and posting it. I checked it out late last night and while I have an idea of how the story is progressing I'm still depressed for misseting my VCR.

I still have the very comprehensive Television Without Pity recap to look for and the last few minutes/previews I did tape, what I've seen on the Internet, and read in my next week's TV guide show, next weeks episode to be a very interesting total plot development ep, rather than one that concentrates on an individual.

I love this show!!!

CHARLIE ALMOST DIED.
Hope he wasn't the singer for the band.

Interesting conversation between Sayeed and the loner.

Ethan doesn't look so tough but he did drop the Dr several times.

They need to make weapons. Spears or whatever.

Alot of people hiding things last night.
John trying to get the guy with him to leave.
The Dr trying to hide why hes upset with the abduction.

What was the metal they found?

hmmm...interesting idea. I hadn't thought of that. But when the French woman opened the door in the last episode it looked more like it was made of wood to sort of be a camouflage in the surrounding woods. My mom and I think it's some sort of trap door to something, though. And Charlie was talking about 'the others' whom the French woman is afraid of/not friends with. He said that 'they' only wanted Claire (and presumably her baby since there's something up with that whole thing).

I was so scared that Charlie was dead because I heard that one of the main characters will die by the end of the first season!!

I also liked the Sayid/Sawyer conversation. I was afraid Sawyer would try to beat him up or something for what happened 3 (?) episodes ago. But then he turned out okay.

No new episodes until January 5th!!! How will we survive???

I didn't see anything on the abc.com site or message board about when to expect a new episode, but I'd really hate it if we would have to wait that long. Where'd you get your info from mdith4him?

On a personal note, I am angry at ABC, well, and myself. I messed up taping Claire's show, and it had to be the week of the final college football games so Saturday night, no repeat. Then last week it was pre-empted. And now, a repeat of the season opener, then who knows.

Similarly I was off last weekend, but no Desperate Housewives, I'm working this weekend, and want to see the Survivor finale so I have to tape it. Of course DH is on, and I'm going to miss it.

I heard Jan. 5 on the ABC message boards. And I think it makes sense. Usually TV shows don't have new episodes every week unless it's Novemeber or May (sweeps months). I watch ER, too, and sometimes they go about 3 weeks to a month without a new episode. I don't know, though, maybe the Jan. 5 thing is wrong. But they said on the preview that you would be able to watch all the episodes again in the coming weeks. How many are there? 10? Even if they showed two on Wednesday night and one on Saturday night that would take about 3 weeks. So I guess we'll just have to watch the re-runs...maybe pick up some info we missed the first time we saw it? *sob* However long we have to wait, it's too long!!

You heard correctly, as I discovered last week when I read USA Today. ABC will be rerunning the season until the Jan. 5th episode. I understand the move, but don't like it at all. I'd rather have runruns and new episodes interpsered as the season progresses.

If there any lurkers/curious about the hype folks who have been reading the thread - watch the two part Pilot episode. You'll be hooked.

I missed last week. I was working and my wife was to record it on DVR, but she forgot! AHHHH! She was upset, too since she follows it closely and loves it as much as me.

Then, I tried to watch it Saturday. The only episode I've ever msised and when I need an encore/repeat they don't show it!!!!! WHY??!!??!!

And now I read here that ABC is showing repeats until Jan 5th. Are they in order from the pilot on? If so, I might not see the one I missed. Help!

Tonight they are running the 2 hours of the pilot episode. I should get my TV Guide for next week tomorrow or Friday and that should have the next episode their running. I'm hoping it'll be twofers in Wednesady though the 29th (but that'll only be the first 6 episodes)

All I know is I missed Claire's episode and must see it. I feel so out of the loop for having missed it.

Do we know what caused the plane to crash? When I turned it on it had already crashed.
according to the pilot before his (demise) they lost radio contact 6 hrs into the flight and were on their way to Fiji when they ran into turbulence which broke the plane into 3 different sections. If there was anything more specific I missed it too

From the Pilot episode and other flashbacks, it appears it was turbulance that ripped the tail off and caused the crash. Of course there could have been a bomb, a backstory about a disguntled Oceanic employee or something else, but thus far, besides Sawyer acting crazy about Sayeed during Kate's backstory - no other clear indication as to why the plane crashed.

Now, I promised as soon as I got my TV Guide I'd report on what next weeks episode(s) were - the 9pm/8pm rerun is Locke's episode. If you haven't seen it watch it Watch It WATCH IT!!!

There also were interviews with Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lily. It turns out she spent time in the Phillipenes on a Mission trip. I know that will make some of you totally able to overlook her too cute, stopped growing at 6 months button nose and think she's great.

Oh who am I kidding... she is great - impossibly buttony nose and all. I think mission trips are cool because I grew up a child of a military family and got to live in diverse cultures. That's something I think more Americans, and to a lesser extent Canadians like Evangeline, should experience.

The next few weeks will be maddening, but hopefully we can recruit some more fans during the repeats.
