Currently have a 7mm stone in my right kidney. Numerous CT scans show the stone. This stone is not causing any pain or bad symptoms at this time.
Few weeks ago went through laser ureteroscopy, and Doctor was unable to reach the stone. That same night had bladder urine retention where I was unable to pee. Had a catheter put in at ER. Still have stent which overall isn't too bad. Causes some discomfort when walking. Kind of like a stinging feeling in penis.
Next step, is October 1st for shockwave surgery. Doctors haven't been able to see the stone on X-Ray so they are unsure if shockwave will even be attempted. Could be cancelled.
Question is, should I go through with the shockwave? I will probably be cathertized again to avoid a repeat trip to the ER for bladder urine retention. Currently the 7mm stone is not causing any problems. Is it possible the stone will not attempt to pass? Not sure what to do....
Have been in prayer, but haven't received any signs or feelings as to how to move forward.
Thanks
