  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Forget the shaving cream...

Remember what you said when his beard hair is ALL over your toothbrush. ^_^ ^_^

The only bit that's cute about that, is when you go and ask nicely if he could please be more careful (or put my t'brush in the drawer when he shaves), and he sheepishly admits that he tried pulling all the hair out of your toothbrush, and is sorry he missed some!

I was not that impressed to find it, running 10 minutes late to work all ready!

If you live together before you get married, then you are doing something that world is already doing and approves of. Plus they have proved time and time again that couples that live together before the marry, more often then not end up in divorce. (also on a side note. in todays world it is sad to say that 1 out of 2 marriagess today will end in divorce, proven fact!!) We are called to be different from the world, in it but not of it. The Salt and Light in a dark and decaying world. Doing this is just one more way that the world will look @ us and say, why do I need your God?? you are the same way that I am.

We are to be different. Please think long and hard about this. [pray]

If you have a boyfriend make sure he gets a copy of this with your name on it.... :) There isn't much in the world that's more gross than a man and his bathroom. I'd bet you won't ever use the word cute when refering to that topic after marriage

:)
Well my using it BEFORE marriage was my attempt to suggest how much I want to be a part of that life. It's just soooooo different from this single life that I'm just too dang used to. I want it all. The messy bathrooms(heck, it's not like I'm little miss tidy myself, and I do believe there are some neat bathroom men out there anyway), the food on the couches from watching sports all day, the "have a nice day honey" or "what's for dinner today, babe?" It'd just be a whole new challenge.

Hehe so no, I doubt I'll still be using the word "cute" after marriage, but until then, "cute" is where it's at. I just wanna know what it's like to be in this strong, committed relationship that even the bickering can be wonderful. I don't intend that to sound as strange as I'm sure it does. I guess what I mean is, it'd be nice that even in bickering or arguing or lack of cleanliness or whatever else, you're still with that person you love and vice versa, and THAT makes it all (even the negative things) worthwhile I think.

Now maybe i'll regret all of this when I'm actually IN the marriage. Maybe I'll miss these times that I'm currently in. Maybe I'll miss a tidy bathroom and the lack of beard hair or whatever else) And then again, maybe not. Sloppiness is a small price to pay when I compare it to the blessings a good marriage can bring. And if my marriage is God-ordained (which is my hope) then I wouldn't yearn too much for the single life that was never meant for me.

Hey even the smallest things in life do get on my nerves enough to make it even a bigger deal as well.

To the OP, I actually concur with the majority (gasp!). You'd be setting you own trap if you live with your SO before marriage. As for the moral part of it-I'll let God be the judge of that.

How about THREE men and a bathroom? My brother and his roommates are just plain disgusting!

Speaking of things that annoy couples, isn't it usually the things that draws a couple together usually the biggest pet peeves they have for one another! IOW, that thing that your SO does that attracts you to him also gets on your nerves at the same time.
