CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I listened. Sad day for the United States. We will pay for this.
I voted for Santorum in the primary, but endorsed Mitt as the better alternative to Obama. I did everything I could to help Mitt, and I don't regret either my time or money. The easy way out leads back in.
My closing advice - this is not good for US business. Short term, Wall Street might be temporarily relieved by eliminating the uncertainty, but it won't last.

If Obama was smart, he'd at least try to work with the Republicans. He'd be transparent (as he promised in the first campaign, with all the bills, etc., being posted on CSpan). He'd actually take the job seriously and put in at least a full day's work every week. I doubt any of this will take place, but it's what he'd do if he was smart.

anyone know a good Chinese Exchange Traded Fund (ETF)? I won't invest a dime of my savings in US equity during another Obama administration. Fortunately, I'm "out" already, but I do need to get money working again.
