We'll just have to see tomorrow. I'm tired of watching it. Romney is back within about 10,000 in Ohio. It does look like a longshot to win, but it isn't over yet.
Looks like to turn this nation around, we will have to face a worse peril than before. Recession wasn't hard enough on us. However, odds are growing for a double dip recession next year, and the USG and FED have both done all they can to stave off the last one. China and other countries won't continue to finance our debt. The other option is a full scale war, like we have not seen since WWII. The Mideast is ripe for WWIII, and if not, China will be. Sadly, we are a nation of wimps because our generations have never faced true hardship like our grandparents and great-grandparents. We think we have, but we have not faced a depression without any support systems, and a war where hundreds of thousands die. Romney may have bought us another chance, but re-electing Obama may just speed things up a bit, so we get to our real trial sooner than later. That might be good, as some depression and WWII survivors are still with us, so when things come apart, we have someone to ask the way forward.
The question remains, will we rise to the occasion, or fold.
