In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. I had this wierd dream where I switched bodies with someone. For some reason, my soul went into another body. I remember looking in the mirror and seeing someone elses face... As I got used to the body, it began to look like me...

I had a dream where I took a gulp from a alchohol bottle.
It was like a different person in the dream beacause I never drank or drink. I have never looked down an alchohol container, I never go to bars, no gathering that has alchohol and I even refused to drink on my 21st birthday, I never saw the fun in the whole thing. All of a sudden, I drink some of this alchohol in the midst of people who I know aren't born-again chritians and in the dream, it botherd me not much. I real-life, I don't have drinking friends neither do I hang out with random people who drink.

Thanks and God bless.

Your dream would seem to speak about being a new creation in Christ...becoming one with Him...conforming yourself to His very image (character)! The more time you spend with Jesus and do His Word, the more you will be accustomed to react as He would. You will look like Him and see Himself in you, in the sense that you will reflect His compassionate heart! :D

Switching bodies could symbolize that you no longer live for yourself, but for your loving Lord! He lives in you!

Acts 17:28 for in Him we live and move and have our being...

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

2 Corinthians 3:8 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Galatians 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

James 1:22-25 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Well done JD on your testimony of abstinence! Your dream certainly seems to be about those at the other end of the spectrum...those who get drunk, yet are indifferent to any possible detrimental repercussions. You were seemingly placed in their shoes...they are not bothered by their binge drinking, nor how badly it influences and makes them appear. They glory in their foolishness, recognizing not how offensive their drunken stupor is to others. Some act oblivious to their impaired judgment, even arrogantly about the dangers of drunk driving. :sigh: They think nothing of putting their own lives at great risk, not to mention the precious lives of innocent others! They don't realize that demonstrating strength of character (self-control) would gain them the valuable respect of their peers. Instead they lose not only their self-respect, but also a respectable reputation. :o

Though you may be persecuted for your choice, in abstinence, you chose well and wisely, Divinely!

Further encouragement for all...

Ephesians 5:15-20 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ...

Titus 2:11-15 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

1 Peter 4:1-5, 14 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead...If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

2 Peter 3:10-13 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Wow, great reply. I was afraid that something in myself was likened to stealing a sip of alchohol.

I live on a college campus where majority are under 21 and drinking is not in question. Being over 21 doesn't justify it anyway.

Thanks for all the encouragments

God Bless

I'm so sorry to bug you again but I had another really strange dream...

Me and my circle of friends were at my church. It looked like we were just hanging out; ie, no church services going on. A friend of mine sat me down in a chair next to a guy that I have a crush on. Then, my friend and another friend rolled out this banner but I couldn't see what was written on it. Then, my friends rolled up the blinds so the sunlight could come through. The sunlight made writing appear on the banner and it revealed my crush for the guy next to me.

Immediately, I run out of the room from embarassment and, pretty soon, I don't know where I am. Somehow, my crush finds me and says it's ok, he likes me too. And that's about it...

At first, I thought that this was just a fleshly dream but then I thought that if it was a fleshly dream, I would be doing more than just sitting next to the guy...

Hey Humblebee - I recently remembered a dream I had once, years ago. I'm pretty convinced it means something...

I dreamt that I met this absolutely beautiful girl with long, black hair, and we became good friends. Se took me to this place, far away in the mountains. It was a lake in a caldera at the top of a huge extinct volcano. The thing rivaled the great lakes. Then, she took me under! Gosh, she looked gorgeous under water, with her hair floating around. And she could breathe, and so could I! I think she may have given me a necklace or something that let me breathe.
Once we were down there, I discovered this was her home - she was of a people who could breathe underwater! Not really merpeople, they were entirely humanoid. Anyway, I met her father, and he reminded me of a preist. I think he was a king, or something of the sort. Well, it turns out the girl was set up to be married to someone whom she did not love in the least, and I remember speaking to her father. I said, "Do you think this is what God would want? A forced marriage?" and he looked at me and softened, saying "God..." Soon, we were back at my house, shootin' hoops and laughing. And she looked at me with love in her eyes and said "Thank you, Jordan." Heh, for a long time afterwards I was enamored with this girl from my dreams.

Long as I'm here, I had a weird dream last night too. I can't remember many details, but I remember being in some sort of huge, white, sci-fi looking tower on a mountain, and being with a group of people who I felt like I was in a team or group with. Then, we came under attack by some kind of alien/monster, and we ran around equiping ourselves with all sorts of weaponry. I had samurai-esque armor and a katana, and I also had a pistol on me. I saw my martial arts instructor, Allen, there, gearing himelf up. Later, I remember running through a curved hallway, dark and lit by orange emergency lights, with bodies of enemies and allies on the ground. At that time I was resheathing my sword, and thinking about what to do next. I was formulating a plan, half out loud as I tend to, of where to go. I think I was trying to meet up with a certain group or squad. And thats all I remember of that one.

Well Jordan,

Your first dream could be a Divine foretelling of whom you are to marry. :D A caldera is a cauldron, that can be defined as a state or situation of great distress or unrest felt to resemble a boiling kettle or vat. So God Most High would surely draw your perfect match right to your side and in the process help deliver her from a distressing arranged marriage. :prayer: This would make her very thankful! :holy: Would surely seem God your Father will give you favor with her father, whomever this girl may be. The love God will give you for each other will melt the hearts of those around you!

Psalm 37:3-6 Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

Proverbs 3:3-6 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Your second dream seems to be about spiritual warfare and being on guard, a watchman. Dwelling much with your Lord, the High Tower and in the safety of His secret place. (Psalms 18, 91, and 144) Also fellowshipping with other Christians in prayer and Bible study. Keep your Bible, your spiritual katana, close at hand and you heart full of its wisdom that will prepare you for effective spiritual warfare and build your faith to quench the fiery darts of the devil. (just as your instructor was gearing up) Consider this definition of samurai, the Japanese feudal military aristocracy, a professional warrior belonging to this class; [Japanese, warrior, from Old Japanese samurafi : sa-, pref. of unknown meaning + morafi, to watch, frequentative of mor-, to guard.]

In terms of victorious spiritual warfare, good strategy is alertness, discernment, and keeping wise company. Avoid places and people that would lead into temptation because succumbing to fleshly lusts in a moment can cause one's life and future to curve away from Christ and His best! (hallway=long hall a play on words for long haul, a picture of the future)

2 Timothy 2:21-22 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Thanks, Humblebee. I needed that message about spiritual warfare. Strange, though, that I saw Allen there - he isn't what I would call a Christian, though my other instructor David is. Of course, Allen has aided a lot of my growth through the years - he's like a second father. Maybe it's just a symbol for those who are close to me.

The girl sounds awesome! I won't mind in the least if I'm to marry a beautiful black-haired gal with a thing for swimmin'. ^^ We'll have to see. Thanks again!

I've been thinking about this one a good bit Humblebee. If it means something great & if it doesn't *shrug* fine:)

In my dream I see this beautiful piece of handmade candy. It is sort of the soft square type in shape. It has a lovely mint green coating. On top are sort of purple pansy flowers made from icing.
Im thinking how beautiful & anticipate a bite from the candy.
I take a bite then, but as I pull my hand back from my face the candy is bitten in half. Inside the delicious contents have broken down into a find powder like substance. Then I tilt the candy & the powder falls to the floor & I wake up. Hmmm. Well..
Thanx.

Sweet Shalom gracechick!

What your dream describes is actually a peppermint plant defined as...having small purple or white flowers and downy leaves that yield a pungent oil. Pungent means penetrating, sharp, to the point. So perhaps this has to do with speech, being God's messenger. He will give you grace, gentleness (downy), and boldness (pungent) to share His winsome Words that are meant to pierce people, causing them to take Divine heed and respond with making radically needed changes...lining their lives up with the Word of Truth! Because of the sweetness of your speech, your audience will be receptive to wisdom the Holy Spirit speaks through you! :prayer: The powder falling to the floor would seem to encourage that your anointed words will have widespreading affects and that you should heartily trust in your Lord Most High to not let any of your words fall to the ground! So open your mouth and spill those Divine beans...share the sweetness of God's Word! :D

1 Samuel 3:19 The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up, and He let none of his words fall to the ground.

Isaiah 55:10-11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Colossians 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

1 Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God.

I read your posts a lot on the dreams forum and am continually impressed by your insight into some of the people's dreams... I wondered if you could have a think about one for me? I hope you don't mind, I just have a really tough decision to make right now and I wondered if this had any impact on it.... (I had the dream last night). I am just beginning at this but I think dreams are one way that God uses to speak to me sometimes.....

Anyhow, it's really short you'll be glad to hear!

Basically, I dreamed that I was at my gran's house (she died a few years ago and was a Christian, we were really close). She had some visitors, I had gone there to through something in the trash (I think). When I got there I realized I hadn't seen her for a while and felt bad. I had to leave quickly and was trying to think of a time when I could come see her again and take her out for something to eat (like we used to do), but I had a very busy schedule so it was difficult to fit her in. I thought maybe Thursday (today) I might have time. At the same time as I was thinking I was very deftly (almost like I was a rock climber!) climbing up the shelves over the kitchen and pulling books in and out of the shelves with my fingers looking at them.

Any help greatly appreciated! My dreams always seem a lot more detail oriented and less visually impactive sometimes -

Thanks very much and big hugs,

Sherbet

This may sound tangy, tho does end on a high note...

Would seem that your Gran represents Jesus. He is requesting that you spend more quality time with Him. You may have been really busy, so you may rush into His Presence in a frenzy looking for somtin and then rush back out into life stuck with 'recycled trash'...emotional leftovers, confusion, and only a tad bit of spiritual nourishment.

You thought that you might try to fit God into your schedule. Might, as in may be, may be not; that is as you will, not as He (the All-knowing One) wills; you leading, not Him leading. Seems like you putting off spending quality time with your Most High God who greatly loves you. When really your Lord should be your first priority. You should get your schedule for the day approved by Him and not just try to squeeze Him into your already overbooked agenda.

Kitchen is a place of preparation, and as in, heart of the home, tends to represent one's heart. So your deftness would symbolize that as your seek God first, He will bring wisdom and Divine precision to your decision making...His good order to your daily schedule. Instead of confusion, you will be calm, cool, and collected. Thoroughly equipped for every good word and work!

Note the difference in location and elevation of sorts between a frenzied search through the trash versus skillful climbing high, seeking for instruction from on High! :holy:

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

Psalm 5:1-3 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I will pray. My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up.

Psalm 27:8 When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

James 3:17-18 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

From Daniel Black

NOTE: The following is a visitation encounter I had the other day with Jesus. I hope the following will be a blessing to all who will read this. Enjoy!

MICAH 7:19-20 "You will again have compassion on us; You will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. You will be true to Jacob, and show mercy to Abraham, as You pledged an oath to our fathers in days long ago."

Today (Feb 6), I was taken to the "Sea of Forgetfulness" in Heavenly realms (Eph. 1-2:6), and everything there was this vibrant orange, like a sunset orange. The sky, the water, everything that the light reflected on was tinted this orange color. And I was sitting on this beach side, looking out over the waves and water, and everything was in peace. As I gazed into the Water, I realized that it was the love of God. It's very substance was LOVE, it was created from LOVE, the sea was LOVE, and as I gazed out over this great expanse of the Love of Jesus, the water of His love, I forgot about everything. I forgot about problems, circumstances, people, my human life in general, simply everything, and I became lost in His gaze towards me. All I could do was think upon Jesus and His love and gaze with love in my eyes into His, and all that Jesus could do at this place of forgetfulness was think upon me, and love me, gaze upon me with love in His eyes. He was receiving my love, and I His. We were in a realm where each of us were completely abandoned to each other. Wave after wave from the sea washed love over me. A place of divine communion.

I once thought this place was the sea of crystal, but now I know it is not. This is the place where sins are thrown and forever forgotten. Love dissolves them into nothingness. The crystal sea is the blood of Christ, the place where the Father looks down from His throne at our current human condition and sees us forgiven. This is a realm of walking the forgiveness of Heaven, the place of coming to KNOW His love. To KNOW that in this love empowers, and now walking in empowerment. When love has submerged our being, and we truly have began to die, a new life is found. A life of power, a life of love, the life of Christ in me, the HOPE of GLORY! You begin to hear a calling to the deep place, a secret place. In this realm, in this place you find out who you are, that is your identity. When you find out who you are and where you belong, nothing else matters but Him. You become addicted, if you will, to this love, to this sea of love, and you forget it all. You forget everything but Him. It is divine ecstasy in Him and through Him. IN CHRIST WE LIVE, AND MOVE, AND HAVE OUR BEING.

That is where you move, the realm you can live in only when you find out who you are. Truly discovering takes a lifetime, but everyday you decide to move farther down the path, take a step further in this journey, you discover a new aspect of who you are, and every discovery is rewarded with a new level of intimacy with the Glory that is Jesus. Every time you take a step closer your eyes are opened to see His face a little bit more clearly. And when we see Him, we be like Him. A transformation takes place in forgetfulness of this world, when our eyes are turned toward Jesus, looking full at His wonderful face. Everything on earth just grows strangely dim in the LIGHT that is found in His Glory and His precious grace. The grace that flows out like a river. Each step taken is moving from glory to glory, and with each step you can look in your mirror and see the reflection of the of the light of the glory of God in the face of Christ, for it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me and through me and has possessed my being, because He has loved me and given Himself for me.

Hear the precious call of the Spirit to enter the presence, the GLORY ZONE. It is in living in this realm that I can say to all: "I am forgiven, whole and completely His in this place, and everywhere else!"

Hello HumbleBee,

Background
I am not the cooking type and the most advance I have gotten was to make breakfast. I would struggle making white rice, but my father would love for me to learn how to cook so I can make him his favorite food like white rice.

I dreamed that my father gave me 23 dollars to go buy rice so I can cook white rice for him. He gave me 3 dollar bills and two 10 dollars. I took the money and knew that we still had rice left over. I told him that I don't plan on buying any rice because we already had some left. I said to my father that he can still give me the money. I wanted to buy taco bells and didn't have any intention of eating any homemade food, but I didn't verbally tell my father I may spent it on taco bell. My father took the 23 dollars back and took one of the 10 dollars. He than gave me 3 dollars and one 10 dollars. So now I had 13 dollars.

Any idea what this dream is saying?

Hmmm telling the whole truth seems to be the theme. Dunno if you were planning to pass off taco bell rice as being homemade rice? Even though it only rice, that would be deceitful...tiz the principle of the matter. You ended up with less money than what you started with, so that shows lying will not lead to prospering. Be totally honest and watch God provide well for all your needs. (Psalm 23:1) :D By walking in truth, you are also walking in love. (1 Corinthians 13) God would certainly encourage you to live a life of love!

I'm glad I found this thread!

Here it goes: I was walking around my university with my parents, but for some reason it looked more like a mall food court. It did not look like my university but in my dream, it was my university. My parents left me because I had to go to class. Then I thought I would get some onion rings before I head to class. There were 15 minutes before my class starts. I went around my university and I saw lots of places with fries, but not onion rings like I wanted. I went through floors of the food court (which is weird because my university actually doesn't have more than one floor of a food court). I couldn't find any onion rings, but only places with fries. Some employees looked at me depressed because they had no customers. Then it got late, so I decided to head to class even though I couldn't find onion rings. The sad thing was, I couldn't find my class. I went through floors and shops but I just couldn't find a place out of the business area and into the classroom area. That was weird because I had been in the university for about 4 years. Also, in my dream, no parts of it looked like my university. It looked more like a mall so I'm confused as to why I knew in my dream that it was my university. Then at the end of my dream, I was asking for directions. Nobody could give them to me. The last thing I remembered in my dream was my asking why this happened to me, because I had been in my university for about 4 years. The person whom I asked for directions answered, "It happened for a reason."

I should also mention that I was running a lot in my dream, but no matter how fast I tried to run, my motions were slow. It's like that in every one of my dreams where I try to run.

By the way, may I ask if every dream has an interpretation from God? Can a dream be "just a dream"?

Also, HumbleBee, a few times I've dreamt about the most awkward and uncomfortable situations that I have been afraid of facing. I haven't faced them in real life yet but in my dreams, I keep having to face them but I try to turn my face from them. Is God telling you anything about this? Thanks.
