Life is complex. Yes, we agree.

The issue is how it reached this complexity. Did current life forms evolve from previous life forms? We have abundant evidence that this is what happened.

You apparently think it was a different process. Nobody here seems to want to tell me what this alternate hypothesis is, but instead of believing nature's god initiated a process by which the first microbes involved into the first zebra, for instance, you apparently think nature's god initiated a process by which the first zebra suddenly sprang up out of nothing, fully formed, complete with all the working parts.

Many of us contend that the zebra is far too complex to have sprung immediately into existence out of nothing. This violates the law of conservation of matter, the law of abiogenesis, etc.

The process we suggest, one of evolution, involves no violation of any laws of nature.

So how is it that you think creation occurred by this process of yours that violates many laws of nature, as opposed to the process we suggest?

Not by chance.
Did current life forms evolve from previous life forms?
No.

No.

Obviously it is special creation.
Nobody here seems to want to tell me what this alternate hypothesis is,
Nobody knows.
God knows.
He didn't give us the "how to create creation" manual :)

Evolution through natural selection isn't "by chance".

Obviously it is special creation.

Obviously, it's not that obvious, or this discussion wouldn't be taking place.

Nobody knows.
God knows.
He didn't give us the "how to create creation" manual :)

Then stop pretending to know.

Based on the fact that you don't know what process God used, how do you know the process he used was not through the process of evolution?

If your point is that God created through some process or other, could it be he created through evolution?

I love someone who has been here for three weeks saying stuff like this about someone who has been here for 13 years. The appeal to the audience at the end was particularly humorous.

13 years is a long time. Should I say "persistent"? Or is it to spam others by unnecessarily quoting and responding separately to every single post they make in a thread? If they've been here that long, they should be aware there is a multi-quote feature. It is here for a reason. For being here just over a month, I was able to figure it out, and obviously others posting in this thread have figured it out as well.

At least my posts actually addressed the topic/content of the thread and not the individual.

Says you after the fact. On topic or not, I don't see a reason to give someone 15+ responses with many of them quoting from the same post. Enjoy the rest of the thread and feel free to have the last word.

Oh, I see......so, it isn't "reality" that every single human has a genome that contains tens of thousands of ancient retroviral insertions? Devoted Christian Francis Collins was lying/mistaken when he released the findings of the Human Genome Project? It isn't "reality that these same insertions are found in chimpanzees? Teams of scientists 'ganged up' to create that illusion? It isnt "reality" that those insertions are found in EXACTLY THE SAME LOCATIONS in the genome!? More fraudulent work by those evil biologists, I guess?

There is only one person out of touch with "reality" in this discussion.......

As I have pointed out...NO..they are NOT in the same place.

You just making this up? How do you know the inserted retrovirus in the human and chimp genes are not in the same place? Science says they are in the same place. Do you have any evidence, or should we just start trusting whatever it is you assert?

And so you end up at agnosticism?
No, it's just being realistic about it.
Nobody knows how God created everything.
The only thing that is certain is that it's designed and manufactured.
There's no reasonable alternative.
So my question to you is again: Why subscribe to atheistic ideas when you're a theist?
Is that where your beliefs are headed?
I'd be more worried about your own beliefs.

Really???? Prove it.
Prove that the claims of science are based on observation? Did you ever hold a scientific journal in your hands? Do you have any idea how scientists come up with the claims they make?

Scientist have show they are not in the same place....all you are doing is...cut and paste.

For someone who is completely trashing your humanistic false scientific claims...saying stuff like "Did you ever hold a scientific journal in your hands?"...make you look pretty confused.

Now, just where can one find this ABUNDANT evidence? It's one thing to make a claim...and yet another to support the claim.
Got support?

Oh. Oh. Pick me teacher. Over here. I know.

That's the only thing that is certain, in your view, about origins? So you don't know if creation lasted millions of years. You don't know if modern species came from dirt or from nothing or from previous existing life. You don't know if evolution is part of the process. You just "know" that there was a designer behind it.

Just curious, how do you know that?
So my question to you is again: Why subscribe to atheistic ideas when you're a theist?I'd be more worried about your own beliefs.
Thanks, but no need to worry about me. And no, I am not a theist.

It does? Why?

Many people have never opened a copy of the Journal of Morphology or similar primary source of scientific research on evolution. I have. If I wish to understand where others are coming from, then it seems to me to be a good question to ask people if they have.

Sorry if this makes me sound "pretty confused" but I have to ask. Have you ever opened a copy of the Journal of Morphology ?
