It's definitely a failed experiment, but I'm wary of Venezuela talk in mainstream news, because both sides are ramping up talk of intervention and regime change. This never goes well.

We could encourage the opposition and offer covert support behind the scenes. The support does not have to be direct. The current dictator can be made to go away. This is covert. Deny everything, admit nothing.
