That was just because the trees were still submerged or too far away.
?? So birds go out,,,no trees. You think that waters went down to allow living trees buried in the flood year?? Ha. Not very funny.
And (taking Eden literally here for the purpose of this discussion) the plants there obviously weren't normal and it was even stated once Adam and Eve left that from then on growing things would be a lot more difficult.
They were PLANTED. However they were, they grew. Adam ate fruits from them a week later.

Makes more sense than super rapid germination. Also see Genesis 3 17:19.

For anyone who is 99% certain that evolution is true. Does that entail you are 1% certain its false?
No. It means there is 1% uncertainty. Not being certain of something being the case does not imply being certain something isn't the case.

Analogously, not believing in God does not imply believing there is no God.

You omitted the option from your poll that would have allowed me to vote.

There may or may not be a God, or higher intelligence, or intelligences. This entity, or these entities may, or may not have played crucial, or minor roles in the emergence of life and its subsequent evolution. Who knows? I don't. However, the evidence fully supports natural evolution from a common ancestor over several billion years via mechanisms in which natural selection was a key component. There was no apparent involvement of the aforementioned entity, or entities in this evolution. As to the origin of life itself, that is a separate issue, though several plausible paths to emergence from chemical reactions remain the best currently availabel explanation.

I can see why you left it off. :)

That's a soft 6.

Support this with evidence, data and define the terms you are using.

Otherwise, its completely void of content.

I don't see any of your "demands"
in your response.

I find it interesting in that in over 30 responses and only 2 self-identified YECs so far. I guess YECism has really fallen out of favor in the last decade.

So you want to believe in the results of this poll as a representation of society?

I used to frequent these forums in the early 2000's and YECist arguments were much more prevalent then. I have noticed a decline in such arguments since returning to these forums and this poll seems to confirm there are less YECs about.

This coincides with Gallup polls showing a decline in creationist beliefs as well.

So far the evidence and data shows a lifeless universe out there. "Supernatural" means beyond any natural explanation (does science have an explanation of the appearance of life?).
Your 'argument' is entirely fallacious.
Do you really think that merely setting up a syllogism means that your argument is valid?

Most back pain is caused by fatigue or injury, not bad design.

Fatigue or injury premised in large part on poor design.
It is also a common side effect of many medications. Also most back pain is muscle related, not spinal.
Why do you suppose back muscles in humans are so prone to injury and fatigue? Poor design?
Being overweight, sedentary, and stressed out doesn't help either.
Clearly. But that is just a dodge.
Worse yet doctors are unable to recommend proper rest for low back pain. Because it often gets worse after a day in bed they don't recommend bed rest as a remedy. However because persistent back ache is often the result of long term accumulated fatigue and/or mental/emotional stress complete rest is the remedy most needed as the entire body and mind are involved, not just the back. In this sense the back is the canary in the coal mine.
Sounds awfully new-agey.
Blaming design for these problems is like getting drunk and driving into a tree then blaming the design of the car for the crash.
Right, it is totally like that. Odd that a genius like you did not even consider that maybe back pain contributes to emotional problems...
Or maybe that all of these emotional issues are also poor design...

Then again, your primary evidence for things are whether or not you understand them, so...

Not to me. It may not make sense to poor science that a tree in the coming world here will have 12 different fruits on it. All that tells us is how limited and biased and small and darkly inspired science is.

But still based on what you want to believe support is.

What supports my beliefs are my experiences. I haven't stated the specific beliefs I'm referring to, but here's one;

I believe dandelions should be sprayed in the fall when you don't see them, not in the Spring when you do.

My liberal city has a 'no spray' policy regarding dandelions on public greenways. This guarantees that all adjacent properties will be seeded by these green spaces and thus will need to spray every season. And because Ortho and other companies want to sell more chemicals their tv ads show people happily spraying flowering dandelions in the Spring, thus guaranteeing that they will never rid themselves of dandelions and will continue to pour gazillions of gallons of Weed-B-Gone into the environment every year. :swoon:

This is just one small example of the loonie-tune reality that most live in (don't even get me started on our dirty lakes)?

Your problem is that you are doing anything you can to ignore the history written in God's other book (nature).

Wait.....Your saying that
any property not using weed killer
promotes the growth of weeds which forces
the remaining properties to use weed killer
....which you think is bad.

So anyone not being evil is forcing everyone else to be evil.

Honestly, you lost me.

How about the entire city banning use of all lawn chemicals?
(Which the city is smart to begin the ban.)

Other people might have the same experiences with a different response.
Image any of your family members becoming "more like you" after the same experience?
Likely the thought wouldn't even cross your mind.

You mean present temporary earth nature. No need to ignore that at all. Just stop obsessing on it, and trying to wave off the future and far past based only on this temporal state we live in.
