Since the left side of the political aisle doesn't consider damage to property "violence"....which is odd considering that so many of them consider silence to be violent.....I find it telling that they consider this an "insurrection" and not a "99% peaceful protest" with just a handful of bad actors?

Interesting take on it. I don't believe I've read many (if any) folks on the Left who think property destruction in riots is a "good" thing. But I'll grant that they probably got less bent about it than they did when they saw the Gravy Seals storming the Capitol and shouting things indicative of a desire to murder the Vice President in order to overturn a free and fair election.

That might be a double-standard: not being happy with violent riots but definitely being UNHAPPY about an attempted violent overthrow of the US government.

Come now it was far from an attempted violent overthrow of the US Government. In the terms of violence it was nothing compared to previous riots of this period. As far as an overthrow of the Government, surely you jest.

Thanks for setting it up for me to prove that lies are being told to us - here’s CNN reporting that officer Sicknick died from a stroke, and had NO blunt force trauma, and was not hit by a fire extinguisher:
