Left Behind RPG

Jason sat down and dug into the food melody had givin him. "hey this is good he complimented her". As he ate he wondered if anybody he knows has also been left behind, he reached into his backpack and pulled out his cellphone and began calling his friends.

Tara stood and pondered for a moment. There might be more to this group of people than she first thought.
"Hmmm..." she pondered, "I wonder what I could get from them?"
She looked through a window and saw everyone eating. There was one thing she could definitely use: food. That gun she had discovered was also a plus. It meant that there was at least one person involved in the military somehow, which in turn meant information.
Tara looked around again. Outside was chaos and insanity, which she was used to (because that's just the way the world is sometimes), but the food and friendly faces did look inviting.
"It would be good to have some allies," she reasoned, "Or at least people that I could have along side in case things got even more strange than they already are. Just remember not to trust them, Tara," she told herself, "They're a bunch of fantasy-believing airheads. Take only what you need and throw the rest away."
After finally convincing and reassuring herself, Tara stepped nonchalantly out of the bushes and carefully made her way into the church.

Ellie walked into the Fellowship Hall, and stood to one side near the back of the room. She had never had any friends before and didn't know how to make any. She heard Melody talk to her, and she nodded in greeting and gave a slight smile. "Hi." she replied. "I'm Ellie."

She looked around at everybody, and smelled the pizza in the oven. As soon as she smelled the pizza, her stomach rumbled, telling her that it was time that she ate. She hadn't eaten anything since the disappearances, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to now. She saw the dog walking around everybody and gave a slight smile. She liked animals, but she didn't have any pets. Finally, she got tired of standing, and she sat down against the wall, where she could look into the kitchen, and be able to see everybody.

"I cant get ahold of anybody" Jason said ,closing his cellphone and placing it in his pocket, he went back to eating

Brian looked up slightly, "Brian." he said simply

Melody smiled at Brian. "Hi Brian, nice to meet you. If you want me to go, I will. Pizza is hot so why don't you come join us? Maybe if we are patient we will learn more about all of this..." Melody said the last very softly, realizing she was as confused as Brian was but sometimes one just had to be patient to learn what was going on.

Melody turned as Jason finished with his cellphone and announced he could not reach anyone. She spotted Tara coming down the hallway and motioned to her.
"Come on in get something to eat." Unable to eat she went again to her mother. Samantha Stone was once again staring off into space. Melody sat beside her and tried to think things through.

Jason looked up at the girl melody just talked to. She looked pleasent enough but her eyes said something else. "I'll keep my eye on this one" he thought.

Rocky ran up to Tara and jumped up on her hoping for more atantion, "ROCKY NO!!!!!" Brians voice ran thruout the building. Rocky droped down to the ground he looked unafected but he didn't jump up again.

 

[Ellesar]

Ellie jumped when Brian yelled "ROCKY NO!!!!" She looked around and saw everybody sitting together and eating pizza. She wanted to join them, but she was still feeling shy. Her stomach told her that she needed to eat, but she refused to do so. I don't want to eat. I want to see my family again. How could I have missed this? She looked at her hands, and tried not to cry, but she was fighting a losing battle. A stray tear fell onto her hand, and she quickly wiped it away. She looked up to see if anyone had seen her cry, but it didn't seem like anyone did. They might have saw me cry. If they did, oh well. If they didn't...I don't care.

 

[FireRock]

"Uh, thanks." Tara replied to invitation for food. She wasn't expecting to simply be accepted inside, and it made her feel uneasy.
While she tried to think of how to react, a dog greeted her by jumping up and licking her. She smiled at the dog, until she heard "ROCKY, NO!" That made her jumped as the dog quickly obeyed. She looked around, but gathered herself together and walked over into the fellowship hall to get some food.
"Come on, Tara. You just need food right now. Simple enough, just eat. Deal with everything and everyone else later. Just get a slice of pizza or something, sit down, and eat it!" Tara instructed herself as she walked.
"I don't think that food will last forever, you know," Tara said flippantly to a girl sitting against the wall, "You should probably get some while it's still there." she advised and strolled past."

 

[Ellesar]

"No thanks." Ellie replied to Tara. "I...I'm not hungry." She knew that she should go over and eat and make friends, but she couldn't. She didn't understand why she couldn't, but she didn't seem to have the will power to go over and join in whatever everybody else was doing.

Melody's attention was pulled away by the sight of Ellie looking longingly at the food but then getting a frightened look on her face. Realizing everyone was feeling as strange as she was, she got up and loaded two flimsy paper plates with pizza and grabbed two sodas. She went to the girl and handed it to her.
"Here, you might as well come join us. We are all confused and trying to figure out this crazy situation. You are in no worse or better shape than the rest of us." Melody looked down at her and set the food by her. Rocky being occupied elsewhere, she took the next plate and soda to Brian.
"Here Brian. Why don't you eat something?" Melody placed his plate beside him. She wondered why she was feeling such a growing resentment and anger. Her university friend's spiritualist would say Melody had 'bad karma'. Melody felt cheated and betrayed. She looked once more over at her mother and suddenly it became clearer...she wanted to know more about what the Bible really said. Things she had taken on faith from her mother didn't seem to be accurate to the Bible if what Jason said was true.

Brian forced a smile, "thanks" he said, he grabbed his soda and begain to sip on it slowly staring off into space.

Jason dumped finshed his meal and dumped his dishes into the sink. He began thinking what to do now.

Melody disappeared into the sanctuary. There she saw Sgt. McCorley praying. She slipped into the first row of chairs and found under one seat a plain King James Version of the Bible. Clutching it, she slipped back down the fellowship hallway and then went to sit beside Jason. "Would you mind telling me more about what the Bible says about all of this? What does it say? Can you help me find it?" Melody held the Bible out to Jason.
Suddenly the book was slammed out of Melody's hand and down onto the table.
"This cannot be what they claim!!! I've served Him for all my life!! HE could NOT come and not take me... I have spent my life serving others! This is a wicked plot of some kind to overthrow our country!" Samantha Stone was standing over her daughter with the glazed eyes of insanity. Her hand held the book firmly to the table surface.

Jason slid the Bible out from under Mrs.Stone's hand. "Please show more respect for the Holy scripture", he said. "For being a Christian your sure not acting like one". Now you look like a level headed, so why don't you sit down so we can talk about it in a calm manner.

 

[FireRock]

Tara walked into the fellowship hall and absentmindedly grabbed a plate and put food on it. She looked around at everyone there, but feeling pretty uncomfortable and untrusting still, she chose a spot away from everyone, and where she could look into the sanctuary and other areas of the church with some ease. She started eating slowly, observing everything going on around her. Tara noticed that they all seem to act like they'd known each other for years already, even though she knew that most of them could've only just net today. She also noticed that everyone seemed to be unwillingly needing and unifying each other together, which amused her.
"Lame mystics," she thought to herself with a smile, "I'm glad I'm not weak like this. I know I need to improve things in my life and steps I need to take to better myself, but at least I"m not at bad off as all these religious puppies are."
Tara continued observing everyone, not even realizing went she finished her plate of food.

"Thanks Melody," Ellie said as Melody walked away. She sipped her soda, and nibbled at some of her pizza. Before she realized it, she had eaten all of her pizza, and was beginning to get some courage. I know what happened. I just can't believe that I missed it. She stood up and threw her garbage away, and began to walk toward everybody else. She was still a little nervous, but she forced herself to keep walking.

All of a sudden she heard something being slammed onto something, and she hurried over to see what was happening. She saw Melody's mother standing at the table, pressing a Bible onto the table. She watched as Jason pulled the Bible out from underneath Mrs. Stone's hand. Ellie came a little closer and heard Jason say, "Now you look like a level headed, so why don't you sit down so we can talk about it in a calm manner." She took a deep breath and said quietly, "I know what happened."
