Melody looked from Brian to the newcomer. Still trying to assimilate all the bizarre information she was getting. Then although it seemed impossible, she heard something that shocked her more.
"You've got to hear this." She stared at her radio and then unplugged the headphones so that the small speaker could be heard by all.
"....the government has issued a new state of emergency. According to government intelligence we have been attacked by forces from outside our home planet. The alien threat is responsible for the abduction of millions of people around the Globe. All citizens of the US are advised to return to their homes while the military is mobilized and marshall law can be put into full force. For your own safety, the government is recommending you return to your homes until further notice. Stay tuned to this channel for late breaking news on this current global crisis. This is Jill Jenner reporter..."
"ALIENS?? WHAT?? None of this makes sense.... anyone have a clue what is really going on?" Melody rolled her eyes dramatically and switched off the radio.

"I have a clue but I am not sure but you have to get home. Where do you live? I'll take you there." He shifted his body and the light refleced off his medals on his uniform.

"We live at 27 Regency Estates, I doubt you want to drive THAT far. I DO need to get Mother inside though, she obviously isn't feeling very well." Melody eyed Rod with suspicion. Then she turned to the entire group of youths.
"I suggest we go to the church there. There are facilities there for us and we can talk. Not only that but I can get Mother to lie down, she doesn't look very well. You are all welcome join us, there is always lots of frozen pizza's, soda's and stuff." Melody leaned down to place her radio/CD player in the pocket of her flightbag and left it on. Although muffled it could still be heard. She then swept the flight bag onto her shoulder and picked up her bag.
"Come on Mother, let's get you inside and you can lie down." Melody touched her mothers arm lightly and Samantha Stone followed her daughter in a daze. She spoke not a word and Melody KNEW something was very wrong with her mother.

Are you worried because of my uniform? you don't need to be this is just a job nothing more for me. do you need help with your mom?

Melody looked at Rod. "You are welcome to join us, after all, it's God's house...not mine." Melody shrugged and led her Mother toward the back of the church building where the Fellowship Hall was.
"I sure hope they left this back door open..." She muttered as she drew closer. Placing a hand on the handle she pushed and was relieved to feel it give way and open. "Whew, well that's a piece of luck for us!" Melody smiled and continued to lead her mother into the building. She took her mother to a pew that hugged one wall and let her lie down. Melody quickly dumped her luggage beside her mother and moved into the familiar kitchen. She rummaged around in the fridge and cabinets for a few moments.
"Okay, who's up for pizza? Someone want to help with passing out drinks? Ice machine is in here. There's water, soda's and koolaid...." Melody called from the open counter toward the group.

Rodney's cell phone chirped. Hello Sgt McCorley here...... I'm on my way bye. I'd love to but I have to go see my Genral. Sorry and god bless you.

Once again Melody eyed him suspiciously. She merely nodded non-commitally after Sgt McCorley took his leave of the group. However Melody's eyes watched him until he could no longer be seen. Turning her attention to the cabinet she pulled out some glasses and one she filled with ice and water for her mother.
"Here, Mother try to drink some of this." Samantha Stone turned away from Melody without a word. Melody stood staring at her mother with disbelief.

Name: Jason Shaw
Age: 21
Apperance: 6'1'' crew cut dark brown hair, muscular build. he mostly wears black tactical pants and t-shirts, some times he puts his tatical jacket on, and combat boots.
Bio. Jason is a former U.S.Army Ranger, (Special Operations for those who don't know what a Ranger is.) he is highly skilled in hand to hand combat and marksmanship. Jason survived the Mogadisuh incident (again for those who don't know that would be BlackHawk Down.) he know works for Blackwater ( sorry, but once again for those who don't know Blackwater provides bodyguards and security to V.I.Ps like embassadors and reporters in war zones). Jason says he's a christian but can't figure out why he's been left behind. He never goes anywhere with out his 45. becuase of something that happened during his service. where should i start my chracrter?

Melody was at a loss what to do. She decided to try to see if anything more could be heard on the television sitting in the back of the fellowship hall. Turning it on the scene that met them was hard to describe. Chaos and devastation met them, frantic confused reporters trying to talk with people some of whom were crazed beyond reason and most of whom were merely frightened and confused. So many different stories were coming forth that Melody was completely irritated with the coverage.
"Great...nothing informative there...." She rolled her eyes and saw more people coming toward the open fellowship hall door.
"Hello..." She greeted them and went to throw several pizza's into the oven. Melody was trying to stay busy. Her father was missing, the whole world had gone nuts and her mother was a basket case..... Melody was confused, frustrated and wanted to run away. She looked at the people sitting around the fellowship hall, including the dog she had told the boy Brian to bring on in. Rocky would be under curfew too!
"Does anyone have any idea what has happened? The media monkeys certainly don't." Melody rolled her eyes at the TV reporter and began to scoop ice into some glasses.

The driver drving the Blackwater Security Truck Jason was riding in siting in the passenger seat suddenly disappered as though he had just been wacked with a lightsaber. the truck careened of the road before Jason could grab the wheel and regain control, it slammed into a tree. Jason wacked his head on the dash board cutting a nice gash on his forehead, the blood began trickling the down the side of his face but he didn't notice he was in to much shock. Jason stumbled out of the car and on to the grass. My God! he thought it must be the rapture. But why have I've been left behind.
I must get to a church he thought thats were the other who have been left behind might gather. Jason pulled his Backpack out of the truck. In it were many things he used to carryout his job including his body armor and MP5. He began walking to the nearest church he could think of. Arriving at the church he found people in the fellowship hall.

Brian was in shock, he didn't realy belieave what was happening. Rocky how ever harddly seemed afected and was running here and there geting in the way of Melody making pizza, when Jason opened the door Rocky ran over to meet the new comer. he waged his tail and jumped around hoping for some attantion.

Melody really didn't feel much like smiling but Rocky's sweet face and wagging tail seemed to be the ray of sunshine in this madness. She laughed and dodged him and when she thought Brian wasn't looking she would give the dog a tidbit of cheese. When she found a package of chicken fingers in the freezer she winked at Rocky. "Okay boyo, we will cook these up and I promise to save you a couple!" She whispered. When Rocky ran to greet the newcomers, Melody came to lean over the counter and look to see who had arrived. The smile on her face faded into a shocked a gasp.
"OH! You're HURT!" Melody dropped her towel on the counter and came running out of the kitchen. Seeing the blood running down Jason's face she had run forward without thinking. She smacked her head and cried out quickly, "Someone go get the first aid kit....it's just inside the kitchen door!" Melody shook her head at her own stupidity. She had just passed the first aid kit! 'This day is getting to be too much!!' Melody thought with chagrin.

Rodney went to the Church were everyone is because he had felt the need to pray he sat down in the front of the church oblivious to anyone else around him felling sad and tired he prayed for God to forgive him and use him in anyway that he could with the future that he knew was fast aproaching.

Oh am I Bleeding, said Jason as he touch the side of his face with his hand and it came back bloody. man! I didn't even notice it. Jason walked over to Melody as somebody handed her the first aid kit. come on over to the sink before you put that dressing on It has to be washed. said Jason and he walk towards Melody and the Kitchen.
