  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

many things. one of the biggest things that stand out right now is how not to ruin your life, wasting it away in sin.
I think you mean "not to ruin," not "how not to." You just said that we can teach you how not to ruin your life. ;)

Okie Dokie. Jesus said that the people of this age are wiser in their generation than the children of light(Luke 16:8)

The Lord gave me this verse when contemplating what to do for my future wife and children when I leave them to go be with Jesus. Further down the road, when God gives me an indication when I'm going to die, I'm going to see about taking out a term-insurance policy worth a lot of money to leave my wife and children so that they will be taken care of. Is that something you can learn from an unbeliever?

I throw up sometimes..

Not while drunk, but it can help one feel better in the morning if they just puke it out, lol.

Some of my friends say I'm a wuss for doing it, but I'm like.. why suffer if you don't have too..

What do you feel Christians should learn from the world of unbelievers?

Many things. Biggest of all ... what not to do in relationships.

I've mentioned this before, but just go to any non-Christian "relationship" forums. It's one disaster after another. And the poor advice given by people who haven't a clue. And validated by 99% of the other members. It's no wonder the world is in the mess it's in with its pervasive un-Godly mentality.

.

I think Christians should reflect and remember where believers come from, and remember what it's like to consider conversion to a faith whose members do little more than complain about how perverse and ungodly you are.

Sometimes I wish we could just get rid of the church and start over tbh.

I do. I think there is a lot to learn from them , their philosophies, the Culture which they endorse and follow, and their worldview including origins .

From having been an Unbelieving professed Atheist for at least 10 adult years....Ive learned a lot thru that experience from a sociological standpoint and the lure of needing to be Ones own Authority and never Owned by someone more important than Self.
