Even if you could somehow demonstrate that Christ rose you still haven't shown that you have correctly identified the word of an existing god AND that you have interpreted it correctly OR that your interpretation matches reality.

Well anecdotes are all very interesting but I'm after some actual evidence although the resurrection thing is a red herring anyway and can't really help Dad's inability to demonstrate the truth of his beliefs.

Since you are not qualified to judge the evidence, does it matter if you are convinced or not? No one is expecting you to cure cancer or find oil or do any kind of research, what does it matter what you believe? I was just interested if you could support it. Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
