Oh it was a big trick alright! There was a death sentence for being a false prophet in ancient Israel. The prophets that made it into the book did so because they were real and tried and tested!! What they said about the future was then taken seriously. It was quite a trick having Israel destroyed and taken captive! Quite a trick having them return on cue a certain number of years later! Quite a trick to prophesy that the city and temple would be destroyed after Messiah came! In fact all these things did happen. Some trick. I could go on for hours and hours.
