I'm sorry but your perception is your reality I'll leave it where it is. I can't waste my short time here explaining what the next explanation means and I see it coming. Have a blessed day of colonization celebration my friend in God.

Recently acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse is a hero. Not because he killed people - self-defense almost by definition cannot be heroic.

No, Kyle is a hero for two other noteworthy actions.

First, he placed himself in danger to protect his community - which was under attack. He defied the bullies and thugs who caused millions of dollars of damage to the poorer-multiracial quarter of Kenosha in order to protect property, put out fires, clean up graffiti and render emergency medical aid to any in need (including the rioters).

Second, even when attacked by multiple members of a hostile mob, he used the minimum force necessary to protect his life. He showed such restrain that even combat veterans said that they would have done as well if they were in Kyle's shoes. Attacked by a coordinated mob assault, wounded multiple times, concussed and afraid, he continually avoided confrontation until it was impossible as he retreated to surrender to the police.

Perhaps he went there with naive notions of being a "do-gooder", but when the government ordered the police to stand down and let the down-trodden take a beating in the name of social justice, Kyle possessed the essential Christlike quality of agape love: suffering the benefit of others.

Two are dead and one badly hurt because he went with his gun somewhere he should not have been especially with a gun. Jesus said "thou shall not kill", very easy to understand.

And two McMichaels and a Bryan went where they shouldn't have gone, also seeking to uphold justice (so their lawyers said) and they're in jail.

So why aren't they "heroes" according to the logic of this dreadful thread?

…and the men he shot, should they have been there? Had the police, and if necessary, the National Guard done their jobs and dispersed the crowd, this whole thing would never have happened. If you want to put the blood of those men on anybody, why not put it on the hands of the state and local authorities, rather than Rittenhouse, who only did what he had to do to survive?

Rosenbaum and Huber both had documented mental health disorders. Ideally they would not have been there, for their own sake. It's hard to say whether they were there to cause trouble, or to protest. Perhaps you know the answer to that. Grosskreutz seems to have been going to help with vigilante medical care; quite the innovation. Yes, he was carrying a pistol.

If you can confirm that you have law enforcement expertise, and that crowd dispersal was the right thing to do, I'll take your opinion seriously. If not, it's merely a layperson's opinion.

If you watched any of the videos of them presented during the trial, they were clearly there to cause trouble. Lighting a dumpster on fire and pushing it into the gas pumps at a gas station is causing trouble. Chasing down and threatening the life of someone who attempts to put out that fire is causing trouble.

Those who hate the man who discovered this country, and hate our Independence, have no love of being Thankful for much, except for maybe the dismantling of everything this country stands for.

I am an individual alacarte choice maker politically but I don't think that left or right is relevant here. Do you? I don't understand how politics is even in question here. You do separate church and state don't you?
I didn't bash thanksgiving or the country.

I don't support Thanksgiving does it require support from me? I give thanks all the time so it always seemed silly how some people save it all up for a government holiday that signifies indigenous genocide. Too gruesome for me

Well right it was just first a celebration of the murder of over 700 Pequot men, women and children. The memoirs read that the rotting bodys stank for miles. Thats always gotten to me.

I didn't accuse you of bashing the country or any holidays it didn't seem like that at all. It sounded like you enjoy the whole thanksgiving thing to me
I was referring to what was said. I don't remember who said it. To be honest I don't care about Thanksgiving. But it doesn't represent genocide.
