Lighting a dumpster on fire and pushing it into the gas pumps at a gas station is causing trouble. In the very early days yes there was a slaughter of 700 people where women and children were burned alive and then a feast afterward and that feast is what was named thanksgiving. For me its evil to celebrate it as a good day when it was to mark an evil thing. Almost demonic to give that falsehood more power. We are a good people here. Our ancestors were very rough though. It was in 1621 and celebrated as the first Thanksgiving and was so named right away. In about the middle of the Civil War Lincoln proclaimed we celebrate it on the last Thursday in November. Thats when it took off. It also use to include children going door to door begging treats dressed as poor. This tradition was moved to Halloween when dressing as the poor became less decent behavior.

You should hear about how Christmas got started! You see, there was a guy that lived at the north pole who had miniature people that he kept as slaves, and their main food source was Reindeer. The slaves were forced to make toys for their own entertainment because they weren't allowed to do anything outdoors. Too cold you know! Then one day, one of the miniature people kicked the old man's butt so hard that he flew all the way around the world in one night, and 8 reindeer went flying with him, and toys came raining down on houses, along with lumps of eco-unfriendly coal. Now, every year, kids look for the old man to get his butt kicked again so he will go flying through the air, dropping toys and coal and every house along the way.

Revisionist history. No different than parents who are in the middle of a nasty divorce trying to fill their kid's head with ugly rumors in order to turn the kid against the other parent. If you can confirm that you have law enforcement expertise, and that crowd dispersal was the right thing to do, I'll take your opinion seriously. If not, it's merely a layperson's opinion.

My opinion is that law enforcement should enforce the law. If you'd rather not take that view seriously, then so be it.

They attack federal building, burn, loot and destroy property. No crowd dispersal. Can you image if they did that at the capital? Politicians don't care till its their but on the line.

You are starting from a position that they weren't enforcing the law. I am admitting that, in their shoes, I don't know what I would have done. If the LEOs were recklessly ignoring the risk of loss of life and limb, then I can only agree with you. If they were strategically calculating that it was better to let some people damage property but not other people, then I accept their expertise. I repeat: do you have expertise or information that suggests thattheir approach was bad, and that they needed reinforcement from untrained people?

The public school system.was red where I am from so no I had to be open to learning facts even as an adult. Are you or are you tied to the fake news today like they were then?

…and the men he shot, should they have been there? Had the police, and if necessary, the National Guard done their jobs and dispersed the crowd, this whole thing would never have happened. If you want to put the blood of those men on anybody, why not put it on the hands of the state and local authorities, rather than Rittenhouse, who only did what he had to do to survive?

They didn't come with guns, and they didn't kill anyone. That should answer your questions. Each person is responsible for their own actions. He should not been there with a gun.
