I agree 1000%. The malicious prosecution and weaponization of public opinion against Rittenhouse is what energizes me to defend him.The whole thing shouldn’t have happened because the police in Kenosha should have been there to protect the citizens of Kenosha and their property.
It was bad enough that law failed to provide protection. But they went further and said not only will we not protect you, we’ll prosecute you if you protect yourself. In other words, we will protect the criminals against the law-abiding.
A more important issue than the morality of Rittenhouse’s actions is the morality of prosecuting Rittenhouse despite all of the exculpatory evidence.
Isn't it curious that Kenosha is 85% white, but BLM protesters are burning the 15% nonwhite/multiracial poorer section? If one suspects that the governing elite and the rioters have a tacit agreement to only destroy the poor areas, then it sort of makes sense that they would demonize a poor white boy with Latino family members who stood out while standing against them.
Yet another reason that Rittenhouse is a hero, though a naive one, for defending his community from the multiheaded hydra.
