I wonder at what point did Jesus the man, as a man, realize (or did he always know, or did he have to come to that knowledge at some point). Anyway, I wonder at what point did Jesus the man, as a man, come to know, or realize, that he was YHWH...?

And that YHWH was "his past", and that YHWH was God the Son and not the (true) Father, and literally "was him" (Jesus)... or did he "always know" as a man, or not...? Or did he (Jesus) have to "come to that knowledge" at some point...?

And if he did have to come to that knowledge as a man, how could he have been so very sure...?

Did he have to, or did it, "start" with some kind or increasing progressive revelatory knowledge about "things" first or what...?

If it did, how could he have been so very sure...?

Did it happen right before or right after his baptism...? Or did the Father himself tell him he was, or reveal it/that/this to him, at some point...? or what...?

God Bless!

No, it's not... They do not have to be exactly and always the same, to be a three in one God, or a trinity... It was only the teachings of man that assumed so, or that (that they have to be always and equally always the exact same in every way)... But, "whatever"...
okay, your confusing me again...first you say they are not equal, which we agree on. In fact, Philippians 2:6 shows us that Christ Himself though He had the right to, did NOT consider equality with God something for Him to choose. So there is no disagreement there....then you turn around and they that because of that, they are not one/united even though the same passage in Phil. and others say that they are one and the same...that is equal.

I have said it before and I will say it again, as best as I can figure out what you are saying you are trying to see things through the eyes of the flesh not the eyes of the spirit and that is giving you some unusual ideas about God.
No it's not... Or did you mean to say to say Christ "is not" the only way to know God, the Father maybe...? Cause that's what I think you meant...
the ONLY way to have fellowship with God is through the Lord Jesus Christ, that is stated very clearly in scripture...however, to know the heart and mind of God we have all kinds of ways to know God's heart and mind...we have scripture, Christ, Father, HS, OT, NT, body...etc.
Anyway, I'm not saying that at all, I am saying that the only way to the Father is through Christ or God the Son and there is no other way... But, "whatever"...
we agree with that but the question at hand is how can we know the heart and mind of God and that comes through many different avenues including but not limited to the Father, HS, and God (trinue)
Again, no it's not, it goes right along with scripture and what Jesus said about himself and the Father, and is what the NT teaches, but, "whatever"...
then why do you leave out the part about the HS? I asked my husband about what you are saying or at least what I understand about what you are saying...his take is that you are coming to the conclusion you are because you are basing it on "one" scripture rather than the totality of scripture which though you use more than one passage I would have to agree with him. The two places your idea breaks down that is blatant as far as I am concerned it found in Rev. where Christ sits at the right hand of God and all the teaching about the HS. Neither of which you spoke about nor how you reconcile these parts of scripture even though I brought them to you attention. If you can't or won't address them what am I to believe? It seems like you are dismissing them if you can't even be bothered to show how to reconcile them with your notions about what scripture is telling us.
I'm right, and scripture will show me right and not wrong, but, "whatever"...

Oh, and I would like to see those scriptures please...?

You might want to consider these scriptures: (John 10:29, John 14:28) (Colossians 1:15-17) (John 1:18) (John 5:37) (1 John 4:12) (1 Timothy 6:16) and much of the entire gospel of John... And tell me how you reconcile them...?

No problem,

God Bless!
I already told you how to reconcile the only issues I see with them...when I asked you to explain what other issues you see you said nothing. I also referenced you to Rev....you have been pointed to Philippians, and even Colossians talks about Christ being as God's right hand...which is NT btw, not OT which is what you were shown when these passages first came up. Colossians 3:1; Mark 16:19; Hebrews 8:1 If I recall another poster even pointed you to Hebrews and you offered nothing in response.

Now about the HS...there again are many and it is a wonderful source for knowing the heart and mind of Christ but I shouldn't have to go beyond passages like John 14:15-31; John 16:8; and Ephesians 1:13

All of these passages and more are left out of your assertions about Christ and God...care to show us how to reconcile them with your ideas? I mean I already showed you what I found needed reconciled with the passages you presented (which isn't really anything much since I don't see a problem and you didn't show the problem you think exists) how about doing the same if you are serious about communicating?

I explained that about the Holy Spirit in post #190, guess you missed it maybe, as you have and are missing a lot of things apparently...?

Knowing the "heart" (and mind maybe) of God...?

God Bless!
I even reread post 190 and I was even more disappointed then I was the first time I read it....have you ever studied scripture as to the HS? I have and if you think that the HS tells us very little about the heart and mind of God I think you need to study it again...hang on, I will see if I can find my list of passages for you to look over....

Acts 1:8 (HCSB) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Love has given us the indwelling Holy Spirit so that the power of God is within us. In this passage, Jesus promises the Holy Spirit. A Holy Spirit that comes in and with power. Even Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 10:38) The gospel itself came to mankind in the power of the Holy Spirit. (I Thessalonians 1:5) The Holy Spirit is the power of hope, (Romans 15:13) and our assurance of salvation. (I Thessalonians 1:5; Ephesians 1:14; II Corinthians 1:22; I Corinthians 1:30)

In this passage in Acts 1 the disciples are being sent out to preach the gospel to all people. They are warned that doing so will result in persecution because the world hates Christ because He testifies to the world that their works are evil. This hatred extends to His followers who shine light in a dark world through their living out Christ. (John 15:18-19; Proverbs 29:27; Isaiah 66:5; Matthew 10:22; Matthew 24:9; John 7:7; I John 3:1; I John 3:13; John 17:14) Because of this hatred by the world, the power of the Holy Spirit is needed. It is a power to testify to the world by giving us the words to say. When we are asked to share our faith we are not to worry about what to say but rather rely on the Holy Spirit to give us the words that we need at the right time. (II Timothy 3:12) Even in persecution, God is faithful to give us the words to say by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Luke 12:12; Luke 21:15; Exodus 4:12; Matthew 10:19-20; Mark 13:11)

The right words at the right time is not the only power of the Holy Spirit given us at the time of salvation. The Holy Spirit also not only teaches us but reminds us of all that God has done. (John 14:26) The Holy Spirit is the power to prophesy, (Luke 1:67) to reveal to us the truth of God, (Luke 2:26; Luke 10:21) and the power to lead us. (Luke 4:1) The Holy Spirit and the power thereof is a good gift given to us by God Himself. (Luke 11:13; Acts 2:38) It is a gift of life, (John 14:19) counsel, (John 14:26) orders from God, (Acts 1:2) and even the power of language. (Acts 2:4) The power of the Holy Spirit is not just a power to witness or testify but to do so in boldness to those who obey. (Acts 1:8; Acts 4:31; Acts 5:32) The Holy Spirit gives us a glimpse into who God really is, (Acts 7:55) He is our encouragement, (Acts 9:31) it is the power to heal those under Satan’s tyranny. (Acts 10:38) It is the Holy Spirit that adds to our numbers, (Acts 11:24) that chooses who is to be sent out, (Acts 13:4) and knows our heart. (Acts 15:8) Even what is asked of us is in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 15:28) It is a Holy Spirit that pours God’s Love into our hearts, (Romans 5:5) when we live by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:12) Romans 14:17 tells us that the very Kingdom of God is about righteousness peace, joy and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit sanctifies us (set apart, declared holy) (Romans 15:16) The very dwelling of the Holy Spirit is the body of the believer. He is always with us. (I Corinthians 6:19) It is by the indwelling Holy Spirit that the believer can confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. (I Corinthians 12:3) He is our strength to live the godly life, (II Corinthians 6:6) and our fellowship. (II Corinthians 13:13) He is the one who tells us the message of joy of the gospel, (I Thessalonians 1:6) and to reject Him is to reject God Himself. (I Thessalonians 4:8) He guards the gospel message, (II Timothy 1:14) and both regenerates us and renews us. (Titus 3:5) The indwelling Holy Spirit testifies to the truth of God by signs and wonders, various miracles, and the distribution of gifts all according to His will and purpose. (Hebrews 2:4) The Holy Spirit is the one that calls us, (Hebrews 3:7) as we give ourselves to Him we become companions with Him. (Hebrews 6:4) It is this testimony of the Holy Spirit that allows us access to God. (Hebrews 9:8) He testifies to the new covenant. Without that new covenant the Holy Spirit would not be possible. (Hebrews 10:15) It is also the Holy Spirit that prays the things in our hearts that we cannot put into words. (Jude 1:20) The Holy Spirit’s power is beyond our understanding as we learn to walk more and more in that power.

Not everything we hear is from the Holy Spirit therefore it is important to test the things we hear to see if they are from God or not. (I John 4:1) With so much power found in the indwelling Holy Spirit we are encouraged to give ourselves over to the Holy Spirit. (Hebrews 6:4) We are also warned to not quench the Spirit, (I Thessalonians 5:19) treat prophecies with contempt. (I Thessalonians 5:20-21) or grieve the Holy Spirit, (Ephesians 4:30) Grieving the Holy Spirit is about disobeying God. ( Psalms 78:40; Isaiah 63:10; Genesis 6:6)

We can only know him (H.S.) by and through the God the Father and God the Son... Other than he (H.S.) is Holy, and is a Spirit, and that he is like God (is God also) (or is like them) (the other two) other than that not a lot is said about him specifically...

The only way to know him (H.S.) is by first knowing them (God the Father, and God the Son), and if you do not have an accurate "picture" of that (Them), you will never know him (H.S.)...

I didn't want to complicate matters further by bringing him (H.S.) into the picture, and it is not necessary to understand "this" about the Father and the Son (either)...

God Bless!
as I previously posted, there is great deal of things we know about God that we know through the HS and I posted some of it. True that comes through belief in Christ but that isn't what we are talking about.

Did his Mom and Dad tell him the story about his birth, (the wise men from the east, the star, the shepherds, Herod, ect)... Did his parents tell him about him being the chosen one, or the Messiah (He/him that was God) (basically)...?

And did Jesus then wonder, or then start wondering about these things during his life, and throughout the course of his life, and maybe was trying to discover the truth of it, or was seeking it out...? Like when he was 12 years old and was talking to and with the Pharisees, for example...?

Or was wondering and seeking out the truth of it/him over the course of his life leading up to his baptism, or something...?

When or how did he know "for sure"...?

When did he realize he was YHWH...? But also/and/but that the Father God (The true God) was greater than him...?

God Bless!
Lots of questions that we will have to wait till we are face to face in heaven with Christ before we will know....one thing we do know is when He was in the temple teaching and His parents didn't know where He was, He knew who His "FATHER" was and that He was already teaching with authority...so seems to me He knew long before He was taught by Mary and Joseph....but again, something we will have to wait to learn.

two things we can know that will inform some of this though not totally satisfactory...1. Luke 4:1 and Matthew 3 talk about the Christ being filled and guided by the HS...the same HS we were just talking about and btw, the same HS that is found at various times in the OT...and 2. Hebrews 5:8 which I already brought up about Him learning obedience and let's add one more....3. 2 Corinthians 13:4 shows us that His weakness and God's strength were perfected by the time of His death

He was filled with the HS...a HS that witnesses to Him just as He witnesses to our spirit...how are you missing everything about the HS?

This isn't even everything...if you think that isn't much I am really not sure what to say....
Those are some awesome scriptures about the Holy Spirit, and this is a awesome post about the Holy Spirit BTW...

Thank you very much...

But, none of them are scriptures (that I asked for) that prove me wrong about what I said or have been saying about the Father and the Son however...?

I believe I do have the Holy Spirit, but admit I do need to learn more about him... What I do know though, is that he does not want our worship, at least not apart from the Father and the Son... And that he wants to glorify and lift up the Father and the Son... And wishes to give them their proper place(s) of glory and honor in our hearts...

And that say, if we worship, or honor or glorify him apart from that, apart from the Father and the Son, that would not be his wish at all... And would even be considered wrong by him... The Holy Spirit does not want, even our learning about him, to somehow "take away" from, anything having to with the Father and the Son...

Thank You very much for this post and these scriptures though, it helps me a great deal to better know and understand the Holy Spirit, thank you...

God Bless!

He was filled with the HS...a HS that witnesses to Him just as He witnesses to our spirit...how are you missing everything about the HS?
I just don't want to put the Holy Spirit above or before the Father and the Son, which is not his wish, and this much he has let me know, to know the Father and the Son fully first...

When was or when did Jesus come to know he was filled with the Holy Spirit, and when did he come to know (about) him (H.S.)...?

God Bless!

You gotta understand, I do know "some things" (though I could know more) about the Holy Spirit, but did not want to complicate matters for people when talking about the Father and the Son...?

okay, your confusing me again...first you say they are not equal, which we agree on.

I have said it before and I will say it again, as best as I can figure out what you are saying you are trying to see things through the eyes of the flesh not the eyes of the spirit and that is giving you some unusual ideas about God. the ONLY way to have fellowship with God is through the Lord Jesus Christ, that is stated very clearly in scripture...however, to know the heart and mind of God we have all kinds of ways to know God's heart and mind...we have scripture, Christ, Father, HS, OT, NT, body...etc. we agree with that but the question at hand is how can we know the heart and mind of God and that comes through many different avenues including but not limited to the Father, HS, and God (trinue) then why do you leave out the part about the HS?

I am right about the Father and the Son, by, I believe the help of the H.S....

You have yet to prove how I am wrong about that, so...

Bottom line is, do you have any scripture that would prove me wrong in what I have been saying about the Father and the Son...?

Knowing the "heart" (and mind maybe) of God...?

Is this possible...? And if so, what is it (God's heart) like...? According to all the information we have on him (God) or this (his heart), in all the scriptures...?

This came up because of these posts in this thread:

Was or is YHWH, or the God that interacted with men in the OT 100% completely omniscient...?

Was or is YHWH, or the God that interacted with men in the OT 100% completely omniscient...?

What do you think...?

Comments...?

It's always best to read what God has to say and He says "who has known the mind of God? Who shall give the Lord counsel?". Our love for Him is verified by our hearts desire to know His mind. Reading His Word brings one closer Him my friend... God bless you...

Jesus knew in Mary's womb when Mary visited Elizabeth. Both John the Baptist, in Elizabeth's womb, and Jesus, in Mary's womb, "leaped" at that time. God bless you...

they prove much more than you claim about what we know about the HS and they also prove to you that we can know the heart and mind of God through the HS. Which is what I posted them for.....knowing the heart and mind of God is what we are talking about isn't it?

and....that is what the trinity is all about...in fact, I would ask you to post scriptures that show Christ asking for our worship much less The Father....there are passages that talk about worshiping God but I know of none where the FAther asks us to worship Him nor any where Christ asks us to worship Him....I have even asked others to show me such scriptures and they failed, so please provide them if you want since you are changing the topic now.

I have absolutely no idea where you get the idea that we should worship anything or anyone apart from GOD...you are sometimes so confusing.

Okay, before we get any deeper into when Christ knew He was filled with the HS which I already addressed all we know from scripture let me try to figure out what the heck you are going on about about putting the HS above anyone or Christ above anyone, or whatever....as ONE God we as a people cannot put any of the trinity above the other or we are missing the trinity, that is the oneness of God. Christ put Himself under the authority of the FAther but that was His own doing and was not something He had to do not does He ever ask us to do the same...if you disagree, show passages where Christ asks us to put Him below the Father when passage tells us that we are to understand that He and the Father are one...
