  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Of course I managed to forget to take a pic but the baby's grandpa post here at Forums so I will ask him if he will be so kind as to post a pic for me. The blanket is all ready wrapped up reading for posting to Canada first thing tomorrow.

I am knitting a little aran for my daughter, but if she won't wear it I won't be offended (it's not pink! :-D) I'll donate it to my church to sell.

I am looking at starting an Icelandic sweater in wool for myself...snuggly for the winter!

Working on a baby blanket myself! My niece has a Winnie-the-Pooh theme, so even though she's a girl, she's getting a blue and yellow blanket, because I have the CUTEST Pooh bear border. Other relatives have made her nice girly blankets, so if she needs one of those, she's got em! lol. I just loaded up a picture to put on the Knitters and Crocheters thread, along with a prayer scarf I just finished and one I'm working on currently.

That sounds really nice, what colour(s) have you chosen?

It's a very dark shade of brown, kind of chocolatey. I'll post a picture once I'm finished!

I've just started a new scarf, which according to the label on the wool, is merino wool, alpaca and silk!

Sounds nice! I am knitting for my sister in law, a baby alpaca scarf in deep purple, almost black. Very soft and beautiful. I look forward to seeing how it truns out after washing. Also, I am knitting wool socks, just started on #2, hoping they are the same size, and also just about done a silk/wool blend shawl in a lighter purple.

I am going to have a go at posting a couple of pics of things we have made. The first pic should be of Rob's Christmas Pudding, which is on a doily our friend crocheted (sorry, I know it isn't knitting) and the second pic should be of a baby blanket I knitted along with a Panda and an Owl that Rob also made.
