I now have three teenagers. Yeah, I know the youngest is 11, but he has absorbed so much teenage-lore that he is already well on his way.

I like my kids. Yeah, I love them too, but I like them. They're interesting, entertaining, intelligent, smart .. LOUD!

LOL @ loud. My boys are ridiculously loud. The house is deathly quiet when they're gone and I hate it! I will probably have to have music going all the time when I have an empty nest. Although I have at least another 18 years to worry about that.

But, I like my kids, too. The boys have their individual challenges, but they are both kind-hearted, consciencious kids and are too smart for their own good. I sometimes forget that I'm talking to little people and talk to them on an adult level (not in inappropriate ways...).

Sometimes I get such a laugh out of them. The eldest, although he's smart, can be a bit dense sometimes - last night we had a Mexican night, and we had homemade quesidillas, and there was hot sauce, one mild, one medium. He asked us whether one was hotter than the other. My h and I looked at each other and said "one mild, one medium." He said yes, but was one hotter than the other. We both said the same thing again, in perfect unison. He said I don't think you understand .. at which point we both cracked up laughing. His excuse was that some restaurants or takeaways (taco bell and cabana) call things mild and it's not mild or something, but really .. I think it's something to do with his growing adult brain being compressed in his teenage skull or something. He got teased all night, and took it in good part. Bless him.

Where is she going?

She's aiming for the RVC at Univ. of London, but that's because she wants to be sure to be in a US accredited curriculum for veterinarians. She has the ability and the grades so far, but time will tell.


One teen can be pretty loud, too, especially when play-fighting with her father, but when her friends come over, the noise is off the meter. We get a kick out of them.

My dream would be to have twin girls before I'm 25 and a little brother by the time I'm 30. But, with things as they are, that will most likely not happen (especially the twins part). But it's literally a dream, I've dreamed twin girls since I was a young girl myself.
My husband wants as many as I'm willing to have, lol. If I wanted 18 he'd go for it.

But in all honesty, we will take whatever God gives us in that respect. It's the one thing in my life that I have so little control over I'm not going to stress AT ALL.
It's nice to hear how many kids people have or wat .

Last year, he called me at work and said he had a question about the dryer because the lable on his shirt said "tumble dryer only" and we only have a dryer so what should he do?

My dad called my sister once and asked her to hard boil some eggs (she was 11 or 12 at the time). She called him a short while later, very frustrated, and said she couldn't get them to turn out the right way. He asked her if she was putting the eggs in water to boil and she said yes, but they kept burning. He asked her to tell him exactly how she was doing it and she said, "I'm putting the water in the pan and then cracking the eggs and adding them." He said, "Sweetie - you're not hard boiling them."

we have a 2.5 y/o Daughter. we're not sure if we want anymore kids, my pregnancy was really difficult and I don't know if I want to go through it again. Adoption is also sometime I have always considered, because ideally I would like Alex to grow up with brothers and sisters.

We have 3. 15 year old autistic son, 13 year old son and 10... almost 11 year old daughter. 13 & 10 are NT (neurotypical). Probably would've had a #4 but were told by the doctors & specialists that autism was probably genetic (amongst many other possible causes) so hubzy went for the big V when our daughter was still a baby. No more babies since! Wouldn't hurt my feelings if we did have another one.

Hubby and I don't want any. We're not willing to pass on autistic and tourettic genetics that we both have, and with all of my husband's disabilities it's not likely any agency would adopt to us.

I'm pregnant with our first - but both Remi and I want a large family.
5-6 - "Our own hockey team, plus a goalie" As Remi would say.

I'm down with that. I came from a family of 5, 3 kids. I always wanted more siblings.

I have an eight year old biological son and a fourteen year old step-son. I wanted more, but that isn't a possibility. I would adopt in a heartbeat, but hubby claims he's too old and if worried he'd die and leave me alone with a kid. So, I'm learning to be content with what we have. It's not always easy, but I'm praying for peace daily.

I have a 10 yr old girl and a 9 yr old boy. I'd wanted 4 and my husband wanted none so 2 was the compromise if that makes any sense at all. He has a daughter from his first marriage but I don't consider her one of my kids because she's only 14 years younger than me and I consider her one of my best friends. The relationship we have is not at all parental.
