I was wondering about the adult guidance - they get to see the host every few days, and obviously there are cameramen all around time but I assume they can't talk to the kids. What if someone was injured? Would they take them away for treatment? What if they somehow went through all of their food supplies?
I read an article about the supposed injuries and lack of supervision, and I've concluded that it was hyped up by the media.
One kid with asthma said that if he so much as coughed, eight paramedics were on him like white on rice.
As for their food - It's either rationed for them, or they're rationing it themselves. Next week's previews make it look like they're jonesing for protetin and debate killing one of the chickens. Here's a note to the town council: one chicken isn't going to feed 40 people. Kill one of the goats.
What I've wondered about is the laundry situation. Sophie mentioned laundry, and I've seen glimpses of a clothesine here and there. But I think there are sensitivity issues involved if they have to clean each other's underoos. I mean, seriously, a couple of the girls have "filled out," so to speak, and it would be
really weird for a juvenile boy to wash and dry a juvenile girl's bra or underpants. And boys that age are prone to skid marks.

I wonder if they have a system where the kids wash each others' shirts & pants & such, and they give their underoos to the producers to wash.
Another thing: A couple of the girls are obviously old enough to menstruate. Are the producers providing them with what they need?
And showers? I haven't seen anything resembling a shower. If they're going to clean off in the lake, they're going to have to develop some kind of strict system of separating the boys (and their eyes) from the girls, and vice-versa, when they're bathing.
