Just wondering about something..

I have a question that I hope someone can clear up for me. From what I understand, from the Bible, God and Jesus are one in the same, except Jesus is God in human form. And yet in the Bible, the Lord says that not even he knows the exact time or day that the Father will send Him back down and end the world. If the Father and Son are one in the same, then why doesn't Jesus know the exact date and time that the Father will send him? I guess I can be considered a young adult in my Christianity, but this is just something that has always confused me. If I've am wrong, or misunderstood something...please feel free to correct me.

I believe that Jesus was fully God and also fully man, therefore in his human role he was only given some information and not all of it in order that God's plan would come to completion.

Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

While there is equality in the Godhead, the Father maintains hierarchy / headship which is why the Godhead is described in the terms used Father / Son / Holy Spirit rather than three brothers or co-equal partners (like in a corporation).

In addition to what John D added, I would also add:

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Here we see Jesus in Heaven at the right hand of the Father, yet, I believe this shows that Jesus remains limited to what the Father wants Him to know and share with us.

It is my belief that Jesus "knows" via the Holy Spirit, now and as He did on this earth. He is not omniscient as we might say of the Father. I suspect it has something to do with His relationship with us and His knowledge restriction seems limited only to specific times and dates set by the hand of the Father.
