Guy answers the door armed, as soon as he realizes they’re cops, he tries to kneel down and surrender, but they shoot and kill him. They were there because a neighbor called in a noise complaint.

Gonna be all kinds of trouble from this one.

Most police will tell you that domestic calls are the worst.

And actually going to any door other than the complaintant's door first to complete an investigation (unless the noise violation is obvious) is not customary protocol.

The place was obviously quiet...no noises detectable on the body camera. The caller gave very limited information.

It takes a very seasoned officer to deal with these calls...rough neighborhood, late at night, and anyone knocking on any door will usually get greeted with a gun.

Sure there's a reason why the officers shot...but that doesn't mean it was a righteous shoot.

It's not a game...
Police have a right to be jumpy...
So does the average person over getting visited by police.

The position has been so politicized that seasoned officers have been leaving the force in droves. So now it's a bunch of young guys with very little experience.

It's pretty astonishing that the cops can come to your door late at night, kill you, then treat it like a routine incident. It's hardly surprising you have riots over there.

I doubt if you'd find anyone who 'hates' guns. A firearm is a tool, if you have feelings towards one that isn't really a natural thing. Lots of guns in the hands of untrained, crazy or irresponsible people = lots of deaths, no 'feelings' about guns involved.

Which is in any case besides the point. It is not a normal thing for citizens in a country to face being assaulted and even killed by police officers for no good reason - I don't know how much clearer that can be; it's not normal.

Because Americans don't care when it happens to minorities, it opened the door for these things to happen to Americans citizens in general.

It is a spiritual repeat of past history. I have been saying on these forums for a while that police are blue - not black, white, Asian or latino. Still, people applaud their own demise.
